Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Riot at the Bullet Train Station

Yang Xiao's expression turned serious. He looked at Toga and said, "Fine, but your share of the money will be mine when we get back." After saying that, Yang Xiao picked up all the items and walked forward. To be honest, carrying these things was no problem for him; they were very light.

But he just didn't like Toga's condescending attitude. Seeing her get frustrated was satisfying, so Yang Xiao said that. He wasn't going to indulge this princess.

"You!" Toga said angrily, "Are you threatening me?"

Yang Xiao stopped, turned his head to look at Toga, and said, "How would I dare?" After saying this, he turned back and continued walking forward.

"I'm so angry! I really want to make him bleed!" Toga was furious. She wanted to draw Yang Xiao's blood, but then she felt it wasn't necessary. So she ran forward angrily and snatched one bag from Yang Xiao's hand.

"I'll carry this one. You carry the rest. And... don't even think about taking my share of the money!" Toga walked ahead angrily without even looking back at Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao was pleased. Toga's temper needed to be curbed. Now that she had conceded, he was happy.

The two walked on the road one after the other without saying a word. There were many birds and insects around. Looking at the fields, Yang Xiao felt as if he were in another world.

To be honest, such a leisurely life was very good. Yang Xiao didn't want to fight for anything. In this world, having the ability to protect himself and live a leisurely life was such a happy thing.

But Yang Xiao knew that all this wouldn't be determined by his wishes alone; it would be obtained through trials and tribulations. He had to fight and become stronger. Only by becoming the strongest could he truly live a happy life.

Before becoming the strongest, such a leisurely life was rare. Yang Xiao cherished these few months to settle himself.

"Can't you walk faster?" Toga said unhappily. She found the distance between her and Yang Xiao was growing. What was this guy doing?

"Did you call a taxi?" Yang Xiao shouted to Toga walking ahead.

"No!" Toga turned her head and continued walking forward. She had indeed been trying to hail a taxi, but there were few cars in this area. They had to walk for a while before one might come.

Hailing a taxi in the city was relatively easy, but getting one from the countryside was difficult.

Just as Toga was growing impatient, a car finally arrived. She put Mr. Shi's local specialties in the trunk and got into the passenger seat alone.

Yang Xiao was quicker this time. He ran to the trunk, opened it, put the remaining local specialties inside, and then got into the back seat.

"No one else?" The driver turned his head and looked at Yang Xiao, asking.

"No one else, driver, let's go." Yang Xiao nodded and said.

Toga had originally wanted the driver to leave immediately, but Yang Xiao's speed had suddenly increased, and he got in the car so quickly. Otherwise, she would have made Yang Xiao suffer.

The driver didn't say anything else, started the car, and drove off. This driver was different from the previous one; he didn't talk much and just drove. He didn't care why Yang Xiao and Toga weren't talking. For him, it was irrelevant.

There was no conversation along the way until they got off at the bullet train station. After paying the fare, Yang Xiao caught up with Toga, who had almost left him behind.

"Sis, can you slow down a bit?" Yang Xiao said with a wry smile. He was still carrying a lot of things, and the bullet train station was crowded. If Toga walked any faster, she could really leave him behind.

"Didn't you say to hurry up?" Toga felt pleased seeing Yang Xiao panting, but she knew she couldn't actually leave him behind. After all, the Broken House's business was the priority right now.

Yang Xiao obviously hadn't expected Toga to suddenly say this. He took out his phone to check the time and said helplessly, "We have less than two hours; there's no need to be so anxious."

"Stop talking nonsense, go get the tickets." Toga said unceremoniously, one hand on her hip, the other holding a juice.

"Okay... Shouldn't I be the one going?" Yang Xiao had seen Toga's strength. This guy held a grudge. It seemed he had to go along with her in the future, or else it would be troublesome.

Toga waited at the entrance for over ten minutes before Yang Xiao came out. There were too many people in line for tickets; it took a long time. Moreover, Yang Xiao was carrying a lot of things and got stared at by people.

"Let's go into the waiting room." Yang Xiao obviously wasn't in the mood to bicker with Toga now. He wanted to find a place to rest.

Toga didn't say anything this time. She also knew there were many people buying tickets at the station, and Yang Xiao was carrying a lot. Getting the tickets in just over ten minutes was pretty good.

After passing security, the two found empty seats in the waiting room. Of course, Toga didn't sit with Yang Xiao but several seats away.

Yang Xiao placed the local specialties next to his seat and leaned back lazily to rest. Just then, Toga came over with her bag of local specialties. "Leave this bag here. I'm going to buy some food... You watch it carefully."

"Go on, go on~" Although Yang Xiao also wanted to buy something to eat, Toga was too fast. He couldn't rest for a bit and then get up to look around.

Toga left with a proud expression. There were many shops in the bullet train station, mostly selling food, with some selling local specialties or gifts.

The waiting room was crowded. Yang Xiao placed the local specialties around him. After all, this era wasn't peaceful, and he didn't want his things stolen just before heading back.

Just as Yang Xiao was feeling a bit hungry and wondering if there was anything good to eat nearby, he heard a loud bang not far away.

Bang!

Black smoke filled the second-floor waiting room. Yang Xiao knew an emergency had finally occurred. This kind of incident was a riot. It could happen at any time and could be suppressed at any time.

There were too many incidents involving Quirks. Since the rampant use of Quirks, violent incidents had never stopped; instead, they had intensified.

This was one reason why professional heroes were needed.

"Die, all of you! Aren't you so high and mighty? Don't you all look down on me!" A roar came from the second-floor waiting room, accompanied by crying from within the black smoke.

Almost everyone in the first-floor waiting room began to panic and flee, with only a few who seemed relatively calm.

The bullet train station had police and professional heroes responsible for maintaining public order. They all rushed over upon hearing the alarm.

Yang Xiao picked up the local specialties and found a safe spot behind a stone pillar where he could observe the criminal.

Yang Xiao didn't see Toga in the chaotic crowd, but he wasn't too worried. That lolita was very capable. Although her physical skills might be average, she at least had rich survival experience, so he didn't need to worry.

In the second-floor waiting room, the black smoke gradually dissipated, revealing a man nearly 1.9 meters tall. His right hand was no longer a normal hand but resembled a tubular machine gun, similar to a Gatling gun. Yang Xiao didn't need to guess; this was probably the guy's Quirk.

Otherwise, such a weapon couldn't have passed security. Only his own Quirk could explain it.
