Abigail: Both Aiden and I sat in front of our parents, watching them communicate through the mind link.
"What do you think they want to tell us?" Aiden asked.
"I don't know, but whatever it is, it's serious," I said, noticing him nod.
"Mom, Dad, is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yes, sweetheart. Everything's okay. We just want to discuss something with you both," Mom replied.
"Oh! We also have something to tell you guys," Aiden said.
"What is it, dear?" Dad asked.
"They can discuss that later. Now, tell us what you want to talk about," Aiden said.
"It may take a while if we start our conversation, so you should tell us first," Dad said. Both Aiden and I looked at each other and nodded.
"Ok! You guys know Alex, right?" Aiden started.
"Yes! Alpha Michael's son, right? What about him?" Mom replied.
"He's been bullying omegas," I said.
"What??" Dad asked, surprised.
"Yeah! He was caught twice, and today he got beaten by James," I explained.
"James, the Lakeside Pack gamma's son? What about him?" Dad asked.
"You know he turned sixteen last night, right?" Aiden said.
"Yeah… so?" Mom asked.
"As he got to school, he smelled the scent of his mate. He followed it, and guess what he saw," Aiden said.
"He saw Alex bullying his mate. He lost control and beat Alex up badly," I continued.
"Oh my God… was he hurt?" Mom asked, worried.
"No! She wasn't," I said.
"How come Alpha Michael has done nothing about this?" Dad asked.
"Well, we think he doesn't know about it," Aiden replied. Dad gave him a look that said, How do you know?
"Alex was only given a warning by the principal. And since Alpha Michael is a respectable man, he might have at least punished Alex," I said. Dad nodded.
"And why hasn't he been informed?" Mom asked.
"Maybe the principal decided not to tell him. Alex is alpha-born, after all," Aiden said.
"Hmm… but that's no excuse to bully someone," Mom said.
"Exactly. I will talk to Alpha Michael about this matter. Tell me, who else knows?" Dad asked.
"I'm not sure, but almost everyone in the school knows," I said.
"And Dad, we kind of told our friends to also talk to their Alphas, because the principal never punishes ranked members," Aiden added.
"That's okay, dear. You both did great," Mom said.
"Now, tell us what you wanted to discuss with us," I said. Dad looked at Mom, and when she nodded, he continued.

Alpha Owen (Dad): "We wanted to tell you this after your sixteenth birthday, but after hearing about your nightmare, Abigail, we decided it's time you know. But you should understand—nothing is going to change immediately."
We both looked at each other for a few minutes, then nodded to continue.
"Have you heard about the Guardians of the King?" Dad asked.
"Yeah, they protect the royals and help the king protect the kingdom," Aiden replied.
"Yes, dear. You're right," Dad said.
"But what does this have to do with the discussion you want to have?" I asked.
"Well, sweetheart… it does," Mom said. "You see, both our families are the Guardians of the King."
We were shocked.
"What?? This is a joke, right? They're hybrids," I said, stunned.
"No, sweetheart. It's not a joke. You both are hybrids," Dad said seriously.
"So… you're telling us our grandparents are the King's guardians… and we're hybrids?" Aiden asked.
"Yes, dear," Dad replied, looking a little guilty.
"But what does this have to do with my nightmares?" I asked.
"It's connected, Abigail," Mom said.
"How??" Aiden and I asked at the same time.
"You see, our families protect the royals. Some of us, called the Chosen Ones, gain special powers to do this," Dad explained.
"What do you mean, powers?" Aiden asked.
"I mean, since you two have both our families' blood, we think your nightmares are connected to these powers," Mom said.
After hearing this, we were dumbfounded, just staring at each other with wide eyes.
