Chapter 1 - Arrival

From the distant dark ends of the world.

Sailing through the waves of the cosmos.

Unbeknownst to any being in reality.

He was arriving.

At the hour of the raging wind.

"Dear od..."

A young man dressed in a fancy blue cloak covered his mouth with his hand as he exclaimed in horror.

"I need to inform Lord Mikoltov of this!"

He turned around and sprinted out of the hall and then ran into some maids working in the corridor.

"Hey, you lots! Inform Lord Mikoltov to arrange a council meeting this instant!"

He shouted at them, which left the maids stunned for a bit but they soon recovered and ran towards Mikoltov's room to get him not questioning why.

"Absurd, this whole thing is absurd!!!"

He punched the wall with his fist and held his head in frustration and then with a shaky exhale he stormed off to the meeting room.

"What in the world..."

Now several people wearing the fashion of cloak gathered around a stone tablet placed right in the middle of the humongous and lavish hall.

"I wonder what this might be referring to? Sailing through the waves of cosmos?"

An old man spoke up, outwardly expressing his curiosity to mask an eerie feeling creeping up beneath his skin as he gently stroked his very long and white beard.

"Unbeknownst to any in reality? What might the Holy Dragon be referring to?"

A bald man with long fuzzy blue eyebrows beside Mikoltov spoke up with confusion.

"There is also a deep impression on 'He', like a salutation? Is the being that is arriving powerful enough to be given an honorific by the divine dragon Volcanica?"

Another man in the blue cloak spoke up.

"Indeed this matter is troubling and by the sentence 'At the hour of the raging wind'. Lord Bordeaux, is this what I think it is?"

He addressed the bald man with fuzzy eyebrows beside him.

"Hm. This must be referring to the Wind hour." The man replied, his face furrowing as he tried to think of the level of threat this being posed.

"And also if the message has appeared on the dragon tablet, then He must be arriving on the Eastern Great Cascade." Mikoltov said calmly.

Bordeaux who had finally stopped thinking now raised his voice and declared. "In any case, we need to get the Sword Saint on this case. Screw it! We're deploying the entire army and all of the Royal knights too! This might become a national or even a global crisis."

Even though this seemed quite overexaggerated, no one tried to argue as the wise men knew it was better to be safe than sorry.

I see it...

A thought finally drifted into his empty mind. He looked to see what appeared as a flat mass of rock with endless amounts of water flowing off its edges.

How does this flat world even work? Seems like this trip will be fun.

Soon he entered what felt like the atmosphere of the planet.

Splash

He landed on the water and it was surprisingly very shallow as it reached only till his ankles. His cosmic-like tentacles helped him to glide across the mass of water, his black cloak, which only revealed a thin smile, waving with the air.

As he finally saw the shore he noticed—

"Looks like I will be getting a heartwarming welcome."

On the shore stood a humongous army, in front of which stood a single young boy, who looked about 19 years old, in a white coat and armor with blazing red hair.

Woooooaaah, that sword is cool. The sword's design was very eye-catching, especially the hilt of it.

"I'd recommend you stop right there and answer my questions." The redhead spoke up as I halted.

"Hm? I thought I was getting a warm welcome?" My smile faltered.

"Is that so? Then I apologize for not having met your expectations, but there are some questions I would have to ask you."

"Hm? Then go ahead! Go ahead! I'm getting tired and I really want to check this world out!" I clapped my hands together and happily exclaimed.

"Is that so? Then I must ask." He put his hand on the hilt of his magnificent sword and it. As soon as the blade slipped out of its sheath, everything stopped and trembled, as if the world itself was shaking.

I heard many gasps from the army behind him. "That's a rather cool sword, that aura means it isn't just a simple sword, am I right?"

"You are right. This is the strongest of the ten swords of power. The dragon sword, Reid. Now that the pleasantries are over, in the name of the Sword Saint, Reinhard van Astrea, I must ask." He elegantly pointed the sword towards me and spoke up.

"Are you a threat to this world?"

"Hm? Who? Me? No way. I just came here to live as a mortal. Y'know, it can be quite depressing being a god and all." I sighed in exasperation.

"A...God?"

"Yup! Cool as heck right?"

"I see then." Reinhard sighed with relief and then started to sheath his sword until a voice from behind stopped him.

"Sir Sword Saint. Isn't it a bit immature to do in front of a possible enemy who refers to himself as a god?"

Reinhard turned around to find an old man with a short beard and white hair carrying two swords by his sides.

"Grandfather..."

"I am no such thing of yours. And I must ask you to answer my question."

"Hk..."

Yikes, family problems. Better stay away from it. I mentally noted to myself.

"H-He speaks no lie. My divine protection of Wind Reading confirms that he speaks no lie. My divine protection of Empathy confirms that he is sincere about his words and holds no hostility."

"I see. Marcos, it seems the threat has been nullified."

The old man turned around and addressed a tall, jacked man in full armor and short green hair who in turn spoke. "Is that so, Wilhelm? Then I shall prepare to head back."

Marcos turned around and went towards the army and Wilhelm turned towards me and asked. "And as for you, sir..."

"Ah. I don't quite have a name yet but you can refer to me as Lord."

"I see. Then, my lord, I must ask you of your plans further in this world."

"Hmmmm...can't say I planned anything before coming here. I just came here cause I felt a sense of familiarity to it.""

"In that case, I would be honored to have you stay at our manor."

Our head turned towards the source of the voice.

It was a young girl with green hair styled in a ponytail in metallic battle armor.

"A woman? On the battlefield." SHITT I SPOKE ALOUD!!!

"Oh, so that's what caught your attention. No need to worry, I've heard it quite a lot but I'm afraid to tell you that I do like this with passi-"

"Woah, woah, miss, you're mistaken about my intentions totally!"

"Excuse me?"

Oof, I don't even like speaking much, now I have to clear this up.

"I was quite pleased to see a woman of a high stature in the army here. It's truly delightful to see that a woman such as yourself holds such a high status in a field dominated by men" I explained with a bright smile.

Crush was speechless. This was the first time she had been complimented by someone for pursuing her own dream.

"Hm. You possess great benevolence. My gratitude for the compliment." She politely said as she bowed a little.

"None of that, but now I must go on. I want to watch over this world."

"..." Although this so-called god was a kind person, Crush couldn't help but feel a little anxious.

"Oh, don't worry I will change my form so I will not be traveling through the city with these tentacles around. Okay?"

"O-okay?" She meekly replied with the word he just used, even if she didn't know what it meant.

"My Lord." I turned around to face the person who called me. It was Reinhard.

"I take it that you will now set foot in Lugunica?"

"Lugunica? Is that the nearest country?" I asked.

"Actually, that's the country you are in right now." He replied.

"Oooooohhhh, I get it. Then my answer is yes, I'll be setting foot in Lugunica now!" Oh come on, just wrap it up and let me find a vessel damn it!!!

"Then, please try not to make a mess please."

"Yes, yes, I get it! I get it! Now can I go please? "

"You sure are very enthusiastic about this, very well, you can go. Enjoy your stay in the Dragon kingdom of Lugunica." He bowed

Dragon kingdom... Hm! Has a nice ring to it! "Then I shall depart now!" I said as I vanished into thin air.

This caught Reinhard a bit off guard as he sighed in exasperation.

"So he has left hm? Reinhard, are you really sure he wasn't a threat?"

A voice called out to Reinhard from behind.

"Julius," Reinhard muttered the name of the purple-haired man in knight's clothing behind him. "He is most definitely not a threat to our world, in fact, I think it is quite the opposite."

Julius looked at the redhead with a perplexed face. "Opposite? How so?"

"Call it my intuition."

"I see."

Reinhard looked up at the sky and with a happy voice he muttered "The days of a bright light might have finally arrived."
