But in the final stage of the experiment, according to the calculation results from the "Tree Diagram," the mass-produced "Sisters" only reached about 1% of Railgun's power, averaging around Level 2.
Neither genetic manipulation nor postnatal education could create Level 5 clones of the esper.
Thus, the Railgun mass-production plan, the "Sisters," was permanently frozen.
The private institution conducting the experiment, Higuchi Pharmaceuticals' Seventh Pharmaceutical Research Center, was forced to close, leaving Amai Ao burdened with massive debt.
However, just as Amai Ao was heading toward ruin, the Absolute Esper Evolution Plan was born.
The so-called Absolute Esper Evolution Plan was the ultimate goal of Academy City's ability development.
Aiming to cultivate a god in Academy City, it sought to push espers beyond human limits through actual combat to become Absolute Espers.
Such humans, while human, were in some sense no different from gods.
With a human body, comprehending the will of gods.
Like the embodiment of divine will descending to the mortal realm.
That was an Absolute Esper.
But according to precise calculations by Academy City's supercomputer "Tree Diagram," among the seven Level 5 espers in Academy City, only the top-ranked Accelerator had a chance to evolve into an Absolute Esper.
However, for Accelerator to become an Absolute Esper, it would require over 250 years of standard curriculum training.
The problem was, Accelerator was just an ordinary person.
Well, Accelerator wasn't ordinary; he was a Level 5 esper.
But an esper's lifespan wasn't much different from an ordinary person's.
They aged and died all the same.
So Accelerator couldn't possibly live 250 years, which led "Tree Diagram" to find another method.
That was to use actual combat to promote ability growth—preparing specific battlefields and conducting battles according to plan to control the direction of "ability growth in combat."
In simple terms, honing through battle.
This path couldn't be called wrong, as many grew step by step in combat, ultimately surpassing others to become true masters.
The protagonists in those action-packed stories grew through battles, after all.
So this path made sense.
But what was absurd was that, according to "Tree Diagram's" calculations, by preparing 128 specific battlefields and killing Railgun, Misaka Mikoto, 128 times, Accelerator could evolve into an Absolute Esper.
However, Academy City only had seven Level 5 espers.
And there was only one Misaka Mikoto.
So where would Academy City get 128 Misaka Mikotos?
Even Aleister couldn't manage that.
Thus, the experiment targeted the "Mass-Produced Esper Plan" running concurrently—the Misaka Sisters.
Since the mass-produced Misaka Sisters had abilities less than 1% of the original Railgun, Misaka Mikoto, only at "Level 2,"
According to "Tree Diagram's" calculations, preparing 20,000 battlefields and 20,000 Misaka Sisters would achieve the same goal.
The initial 9,802 experiments were conducted inside the research institute, while the remaining 10,198 needed to be outdoors.
Due to issues with body disposal, the battlefields were concentrated in Academy City's Seventh School District.
Amai Ao, the head of the mass-production esper plan, thus joined the Absolute Esper Evolution Plan.
Unfortunately, since the "experiment" plan was based on "Tree Diagram's" simulation results,
In the original plot, when Accelerator was defeated by the Level 0 Touma Kamijou, the researchers discovered the results were wrong, leading to the "experiment" being frozen.
Amai Ao, unable to repay his debts, had to flee, abandoning them. Desperate for survival, he tried to join forces opposing Academy City, planning to inject a virus into Last Order's brain to cause a riot in the Misaka Network.
Such a person didn't deserve to live in this world.
Morpheus planned to send him on his way.
However, while searching for Amai Ao, Morpheus discovered that this world's Absolute Esper Plan differed from the one he remembered.
The most obvious was the Misaka 999 walking ahead of him.
In the original plot, the initial 9,802 experiments of the Absolute Esper Evolution Plan were conducted indoors at the institute.
So when Touma Kamijou encountered a Misaka Sister, it was after the nine-thousand mark.
But now, Morpheus had encountered Misaka 999 outdoors.
That was somewhat unbelievable.
Clearly, this was Tree Diagram's fault.
In this super-powered crossover world, technology advanced more rapidly than in the original plot.
Even humanoid mobile suits like Gundams had been invented.
So the supercomputer Tree Diagram was likely superior to the original, causing changes to the Absolute Esper Evolution Plan.
Even so, Morpheus still felt displeased, looking up at the windowless building.
An invisible force gathered, piercing through the building in an instant.
Boom!
The building was instantly blasted with a hole; a structure capable of withstanding nuclear impacts was no different from paper before Morpheus.
Aleister, hiding inside the building, bore the brunt; the invisible shockwave descended like a supernova explosion.
In that instant, Aiwass intervened, setting up a barrier to block Morpheus's attack.
Yet in the next second, the barrier shattered.
Aiwass, unperturbed, established multiple barriers the moment the first shattered.
Morpheus snorted coldly, and the multiple barriers Aiwass had set up shattered instantly; the invisible shockwave struck Aiwass without reservation.
Aiwass immediately mobilized her power to offset the shockwave released by Morpheus.
But the problem was, the shockwave from Morpheus seemed endless, showing no end or attenuation.
In the original plot, Aiwass claimed power to destroy the world with a flick of a finger.
But in Morpheus's view, that was exaggerated; Aiwass couldn't do it.
Of course, this might be because in this crossover world, Aiwass's authority had been downgraded, lacking the terrifying power from the Toaruverse.
The Magic Gods in the Toaruverse were so terrifying because they fully understood the rules of that world.
Every action could overturn or rewrite rules.
But once they left the Toaruverse, could they retain such terrifying power?
Naturally, no.
So in this chaotic crossover world, the Magic God' powers were downgraded but still terrifying, and without the ability to casually destroy or rewrite the world.
Aiwass was the same.
