Chapter 34 - I fell for her trap again

The day of the Mating Ceremony had finally arrived, and I found myself assigned the role of the personal chef. Although I had been given an option to refuse, I chose to accept because I had promised to remain at the royal home for the children's sake and to finally uncover the truth about what happened five years ago.

Being responsible for preparing the entire meal for the Mating Ceremony felt overwhelming. At times, it seemed like the Luna Queen had deliberately placed me in this role to make me suffer.

The frustration kept building, mainly because most of the cooks refused to listen to me. I had to constantly step in and correct them, with only Adrian guiding me through a video call.

The ceremony was only a few hours away, and I was still struggling to organize everything, particularly the cake meant to be the event's centerpiece.

"Hey, you," one of the cooks tapped my shoulder.
