Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Return to the Wizarding World

Seeing its claws easily severed by that sword, Echidna immediately panicked.

So much for good luck, so much for a change in fortune. He was still just an unlucky demon.

Damn it! I finally made it to Earth! If I just had a short time to develop, I could gain immense power by devouring souls. Why did I have to run into these two damned human sorcerers?

Echidna instantly changed its plan. It gave up on killing the two mysterious sorcerers and tried to flee, but it didn't know this was the Mirror Dimension; escape was impossible.

After severing Echidna's claws, Harry grew even more excited. A faint red glow appeared in his eyes, a sign of his magic being pushed to its limits.

The magic within him was endless. He conjured another Sacred Sword of Vishanti and charged at Echidna.

Although he had also mastered defensive spells, like the common Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, he didn't like using them.

He was very fond of a phrase he had stumbled upon in an ancient text: the best defense is a good offense.

One side had a soaring fighting spirit, while the other only wanted to escape. Given the existing power gap, after a few minutes, Harry had hacked Echidna to pieces.

Finally, he dispelled the Sacred Sword of Vishanti that was plunged into Echidna's head and let out a refreshing sigh.

High-ranking demons weren't that strong after all. If he used something like the Scarlet Chains of Satannish, he could fight a host of high-ranking demons all day long.

Seeing Harry easily kill a high-ranking demon, Wong had a complex expression on his face. He remembered it had taken him over a decade of study to reach this level. But Harry, aside from the five years spent stabilizing his incredibly powerful magic, had only been studying for two and a half years.

However, unlike Kaecilius, Wong was not a narrow-minded person. He wouldn't be jealous of Harry for receiving the Sorcerer Supreme's favor, nor would he resent Harry for his rapid growth.

He was simply genuinely happy for Harry.

Wong patted Harry's shoulder, his broad, fleshy face breaking into a heartfelt smile. "Well done, Harry!"

After dealing with the demon, they used a portal to return to Kamar-Taj to report to the Sorcerer Supreme.

They left behind only a few terrified occult enthusiasts, now questioning their reality.

...

Back at Kamar-Taj, the Sorcerer Supreme praised Harry and deemed him ready to learn more powerful magic.

Furthermore, she stated that his current knowledge was sufficient to create his own spells. After all, spells that required magic from specific dimensions, even after modification for Harry to use, could never truly unleash the full power of Chaos Magic.

Harry took the Sorcerer Supreme's words to heart, and he already had an answer in mind.

With his brain enhanced by magic, Harry's memory was astounding.

He could even vaguely recall seeing a green beam of light in his childhood, a beam that seemed to possess immense power.

Now, after continuous experimentation, he would soon be able to use that green-beamed magic.

Hmm, what should I call this spell?

Avada Kedavra, yes, that's it!

Harry had long since mastered the portal spell, but due to the instability of Chaos Magic, the portals couldn't remain stable.

Sometimes, with the fluctuation of Chaos Magic, the portal would immediately go out of control and close.

Therefore, to avoid being killed by his own magic, Harry rarely used portals, choosing to travel on foot most of the time.

Returning to 20 Ingram Street in Queens, Uncle Ben, Aunt May, and Peter were all asleep.

Harry, of course, wouldn't disturb them. He simply leaped up to the second floor, opened the window, and prepared to enter.

But as he climbed through the window, his vision suddenly brightened.

The surroundings abruptly changed from night to day, and his spacious room transformed into a narrow hallway.

Even though more than seven years had passed, Harry still remembered this hallway.

This was... Uncle Vernon's hallway!

He was back.

Harry looked down at his body. He was wearing a worn-out, loose gray T-shirt. He remembered it was one of Dudley's recent hand-me-downs.

Because Dudley was so fat, the T-shirt looked like a dress on him.

Suddenly, Harry noticed his hands. He was stunned to find that his body had reverted to its eleven-year-old state.

Back then, he was small and thin, only about 1.2 meters tall, very frail, a stark contrast to the handsome and dashing figure he had become seven years later.

Realizing this, Harry was overcome with terror. Was everything before just a dream?

No, please no!

Uncle Ben, Aunt May, Peter, the Sorcerer Supreme, Wong, Gwen...

Every single one of them was extremely important to him. He didn't want to lose any of them.

Suddenly, an idea struck Harry. He immediately followed the Sorcerer Supreme's teachings and drew a runic symbol. As a golden matrix of runes appeared, he once again pulled the Sacred Sword of Vishanti from it.

Harry let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Thank goodness, it wasn't a dream!

As long as it wasn't a dream, he had a chance to return to that world. It might just take some time.

Just then, Aunt Petunia's shrill voice came from the kitchen nearby.

"There you are, our little birthday boy. Happy birthday, son!"

A brilliant smile spread across Harry's lips. It had been a long time since he'd seen his dear Dursley family.

He had missed them to death.

Sensing the magic within him, it was still as vast and boundless as in the other world. The only difference was that, perhaps due to the change in worlds, the amount of magic he could command was smaller.

About... three-tenths of it?

But even so, it was enough. And this wasn't without its benefits. The magic within him seemed much more stable in this world.

Harry took off his glasses. A brilliant gold light flashed in his eyes, and when it faded, his vision was restored to perfect clarity.

Using magic to enhance his body was the best way to use Chaos Magic, aside from telekinesis.

He would use magic to strengthen his body at all times to quickly bring his frail body in this world back to health.

Harry was not used to this weak body. As for the consumed magic, it was less than a drop in the ocean compared to his total reserves.

He pushed open the grimy door and entered the kitchen. Aunt Petunia was currently cradling Dudley's pig-like head, wishing him a happy birthday.

At this moment, Aunt Petunia's face was kind, looking extremely gentle. The way she treated Dudley was what Harry had once envied most, but now, he didn't envy it at all.

He had that kind of affection too. He was also loved.

Seeing Harry walk in, Aunt Petunia's expression immediately changed. She snapped viciously, "Hurry up and make breakfast, and don't you dare burn anything!"

But to the Dursleys' surprise, Harry acted as if he hadn't heard her. He leisurely walked to the table, sat down next to Vernon, poured himself a glass of juice from the table, and drank it with satisfaction.
