Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Hagrid and the Letter

Harry raised an eyebrow, broke the wax seal, opened the letter, and began to read the correspondence that had made Aunt Petunia so envious:

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

Headmaster: ALBUS DUMBLEDORE(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Mr. Potter,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

Deputy Headmistress

Harry studied the letter, deep in thought.

The letter revealed a lot of information: a school of magic, an International Confederation of Wizards, the Order of Merlin, and so on...

The social structure of the wizarding world in this world was clearly well-established, with numerous independent wizarding organizations.

There was even a dedicated magic school for young wizards, a point that was clearly superior to Kamar-Taj.

Perhaps when he became the Sorcerer Supreme, he could reform Kamar-Taj based on the social structure of the wizarding world.

Harry then continued to read the attachment.

The contents of the attachment also revealed a lot of information about the wizarding world.

What surprised him was that even students at a magic school could use dragonhide!

Seeing the requirement for protective gloves made of dragonhide or a similar material, Harry fell silent.

In the other world, there were no dragons on Earth, but there were traces of them in other dimensions.

Those dragons were not easy to deal with. They were rare and powerful, each capable of easily destroying a city.

The most powerful among them could even destroy planets with ease.

Could the level of magic in the wizarding world surpass that of Kamar-Taj?

But why had he never heard of the wizarding world before? Could the wizards of this world also be protectors of Earth, needing to fight against incredibly powerful Dimensional Lords?

Thinking of this, Harry's impression of the wizarding world rose significantly.

Regardless of whether the wizarding world discriminated against mortals, as long as they were secretly guarding the Earth from the shadows, they were likely good people on the side of justice.

Harry had once faced a Dimensional Lord named Dormammu with the Sorcerer Supreme and understood just how terrifying they were.

It seemed that this world should have a powerful wizard comparable to the Sorcerer Supreme. Only then could they stand against the Dimensional Lords.

Although Harry didn't have his own owl at the moment, he managed to attract a diligent owl postman with some jerky, allowing it to rest for a while.

To the satisfied hoots of the owl postman, Harry quickly finished his reply, handed it over, and finally patted the head of the gray owl before watching it gradually disappear.

Wizarding world, Sorcerer Supreme Harry is here!

Perhaps in this world, he could learn even more powerful magic to fight against formidable enemies.

As one of the people closest to the Sorcerer Supreme, Harry could feel the venerable elder growing more and more tired.

He was eager to become stronger and share her burden.

After replying to Hogwarts, Harry didn't have to wait long. He received a response from Hogwarts the very next afternoon.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The poor door, as fragile as a thin wooden plank, seemed ready to crack at any moment under the pounding of an unknown person on the other side.

"Who is it!" Dudley, now fully accustomed to being Harry's lackey, saw Harry look towards the door, understood immediately, and went to open it. He shouted "I'm an idiot!" beforehand to pay the price for casting a spell.

After Dudley opened the door, before he could cast a spell, two arms like stone pillars wrapped him in a hug.

The figure behind the door was revealed to Harry and the others. It was a giant, three and a half meters tall. He had to crouch to enter the two-meter-high doorway.

At this moment, he was hugging Dudley, tears streaming down his face like a fountain, dripping onto Dudley's head. "Waaah, my Harry! The last time I saw you, you were just a baby, and now you're so big. Oh, you're so plump, just like a little pig, but that's alright, it's healthy, isn't it?"

Dudley struggled in the giant's arms, shouting, "No, I'm not Harry! He's Harry!"

The tears on the giant's face immediately stopped. He lifted Dudley, examined his appearance carefully, and after confirming that the person before him was indeed not Harry, he immediately ignored Dudley and walked towards Harry.

Harry sensed his goodwill and didn't dodge, allowing himself to be held.

However, the giant had a rather pungent smell, which made him a little uncomfortable.

The giant said with a hint of a sob, "Oh, Harry, my dear Harry, I finally get to see you. Look at you, you look just like your father, and your eyes are as gentle as Lily's, like green emeralds. I held you when you were little, do you remember?"

If it weren't for the scene with Dudley just now, this moment might have been quite touching. But after the giant had unceremoniously hugged Dudley, the atmosphere had become a bit strange.

Harry silently retorted, how could a normal child possibly remember their infancy?

But as it happened, Harry's excellent memory, thanks to his powerful magic, allowed him to even remember the green magic he faced shortly after birth, and of course, he vaguely remembered a giant with a big, hairy head.

Besides him, there was also an elegant old lady and a kind old gentleman.

Harry broke free from the giant's smelly embrace and asked politely, "Hello, I'm Harry. You knew my parents?"

"Of course, I knew James and Lily! I'm Hagrid, a good friend of your parents. I was the one who brought you here. Hmm, I heard the Dursleys weren't nice to you. I was thinking of teaching them a lesson, but it seems that was just a rumor. The Dursleys look quite nice."

Hagrid glanced at Harry's new clothes and the friendly attitude of the Dursleys towards him, and nodded to himself.

He smiled kindly at the Dursleys, then said to Harry, "Let's go, Harry. I know you have a lot of questions, but we can talk on the way. I still need to take you to Diagon Alley to buy some school supplies. Come on, let's talk as we go."

The two took a train to London. On the way, Harry noticed something strange.

Normally, Hagrid's height of over three meters would be extremely eye-catching, but passersby only glanced at him once before looking away, as if it were no big deal.

At the same time, Harry noticed the residual magic on Hagrid. This should be the effect of some kind of spell.

What kind of magic is this?

Harry was a little curious. Soul magic?
