Seraphine's POV
Myra whimpered deep within my soul, her pain echoing through every fiber of my being. Yet even through her anguish, I felt her unwavering support for what I was about to do. The decision that would finally set us both free.
I raised my chin with newfound determination and spoke the words that had been trapped in my throat for far too long. "I, Seraphine Ida, accept your rejection, Alpha Nash Wesley of the Storm Peak Pack."
The words hit him like a physical blow. "No!" Nash's voice cracked as he staggered backward, his hand clutching desperately at his chest. His breathing became ragged and shallow. "You cannot do this to me!" he gasped through gritted teeth. "Take it back!"
Being an Alpha made his suffering more intense than mine. I watched as he collapsed to his knees, then to his hands, crawling across the ground like a wounded animal. "Please," he begged, his voice barely a whisper. "The agony is unbearable."
