The sound of her laughter filled the air as crimson bloomed across her cheeks. My lips found hers in a tender kiss, desperate to erase every painful memory that haunted her past. With Becky's threat eliminated, we could finally begin our lives together without looking over our shoulders. I needed her to forget the darkness that had consumed her days before me.
