Orion's POV
I locked eyes with Tulip for a heartbeat before delivering the words that would change everything. "I cannot refuse her. I am sorry, but I need you to leave my house immediately." The moment I spoke those words and turned to walk away, an incredible weight lifted from my shoulders. My steps felt lighter than they had in years, and I couldn't suppress the grin that threatened to make me look like a complete fool.
"This is far from finished, Orion!" Tulip's voice rang out behind me. "I refuse to let you go. Reject her now!"
I kept walking without looking back. Nothing short of death itself could separate me from my Dalia. Even if it meant crawling through mud and humiliation to win her back, I would do it gladly. This was my chance at redemption. I would fulfill every demand she made of me. If she wanted to put a collar around my neck, I would wear it with pride.
