Orion's POV
Even though I had promised to marry Tulip, everything changed after Dalia's birthday celebration. My determination crumbled a little more each day. I knew approaching her would be wrong, so I fought against every instinct screaming at me to see her.
The only solution was asking Vaughn to chain me in the pack dungeons with silver restraints. It was the only way to keep Marshall, my bear, from bolting straight to the Mistwood territory just to catch a glimpse of her. The madness consuming me had to be stopped, and silver chains were my last resort.
The pain was excruciating. Silver burned through my skin, leaving angry welts and deep bruises across my body. But physical agony was nothing compared to the alternative of showing up at her doorstep like some desperate fool. I refused to let that happen.
