Alexa thrust the dress toward me with barely concealed irritation before spinning back to Becky. Her hands moved with practiced precision as she adjusted the measuring tape around Becky's waist. "Perhaps we should take this in a bit more here?" Her voice dripped with the kind of sweetness she had never bothered to show me.
The shop's bell rang out sharp and clear. My head snapped toward the entrance, and my breath caught in my throat.
Theodore stood in the doorway.
The moment he stepped inside, the very air seemed to thicken. His presence filled the boutique like a gathering storm, dark and crackling with barely contained power. Every conversation died. The rustle of fabric stopped. Even Becky's smug laughter cut off abruptly.
Kayne flanked him, his expression just as dangerous as his Alpha's. Both men swept their gazes across the scene before them with predatory focus.
