Chapter 1 - Waking up as Sukuna

Everything was numb.

The lack of sensation enveloped them like a suffocating blanket, pressing in from all sides without mercy.

It wasn't just a simple numbness, this was profound, all-encompassing, as if every nerve ending had been severed, every connection to the physical world brutally cut off.

Darkness surrounded them, an endless expanse, gnawing at the edges of their mind.

They didn't know where they were, they couldn't see where they were, they couldn't hear, they couldn't feel.

They remembered they were dead.

Is that where this is? The afterlife?

But if they were dead then how were they thinking?

I think therefore I am, but who am I?

'I am —' they thought.

No, that wasn't right, they had a name, they were sure of it, so why didn't they know it?

They tried again, 'My name is —'

Once more they were met with nothing, unable to recall their name.

Maybe this is just a really bad dream, maybe they just need to wake up.

They focused, reaching within, trying to command their body.

(Do they even have a body now, anyways?)

Something shifted.

They felt the air on their skin, the movement of (Their?) clothes in the breeze, the sound of trees rustling in the wind.

They had a body.

Something was holding them, it felt vile, wrong, like everything bad in the world made manifest: hatred, despair, malice coalesced into a tangible form.

The touch was slimy, pulsating with an unnatural energy that set their nerves on edge.

Curse their mind said, they're being held by a curse.

Channeling cursed energy into their arms, (Holy shit are they in Jujutsu Kaisen!?) they shattered the curse's grip, twisting mid-air in a flawless backflip that landed them lightly on the ground. (Since when could they do THAT!?)

Their instincts told them it was a grade 1. (What instincts? They haven't fought any curses???)

They felt the curse running towards towards them and acted on instinct, pointing their arm towards it and commanding within their mind:

Dismantle

The curse didn't stand a chance.

Opening their eyes, (Why were there FOUR!?) they tilted their head slightly towards the night sky, the clouds parting as the moonlight shone upon them.

Something clicked. Like pieces of a puzzle coming together, like waking up from a dream, everything made sense now.

For the third and final time, they– no, he thought of his name

'I am Ryomen Sukuna'

A sense of serene calm washed over him, he felt complete, he felt real.

He was Ryomen Sukuna, The Strongest Sorcerer of History, The King of Curses, Terror of Japan, and Disgraced Son of Heaven.

He was in Jujutsu Kaisen.

He knew how it would play out.

Shibuya. The culling games. Shinjuku.

He was going to change it. He had to. He couldn't just let his favourite characters die.

But more importantly, he was going to troll them. And aura farm.

After dramatically bathing in the moonlight for a few seconds, Sukuna looked to where the curse previously was. It, along with the portion of the school it was located on top of, as well as three buildings behind said portion of school, was cleanly cut in two.

That was… more than what 1 finger Sukuna could do, right?

Did he have his own cursed energy, in addition to OGkuna's?

Sukuna felt his own cursed energy, using OGkuna's memories as a baseline he was able to determine that in addition to having 1 finger of OGkuna's cursed energy, he had his own cursed energy which was around 10 fingers in strength, so he was basically 11-finger Sukuna right now.

Now he understands why everyone thinks Sukuna was Gege's favourite character, because that is kind of ridiculous.

There wasn't much time to dwell on that, though.

Sukuna had a plot to (Slightly) follow, after all.

Finally deciding to turn around, he saw him.

The Most Fraudulent in History, The Suicide Bomber, The Mahoraga Merchant, Mr "Nah, I'd Lose", The Middle Schooler Destroyer, The Fatherless Bum, The One Who Disappointed Fans Worldwide and His Underwhelming Intensity, The Potential Man in all his glory,

Megumi Fushiguro.

Standing there with blood flowing down his face. A disheveled uniform, and a face full of fear.

Megumi paled at his gaze, colour draining from his face, tensing up as he shakily brought his arms into a familiar position.

"With this sacred treasure–!"

Yeah, no.

Sukuna flashstepped in front of megumi, grabbing his arm as he used Sukuna's memories to begin his trolling of the cast.

Megumi paled, trying to squirm out of his grip as Sukuna began outputting reversed cursed technique, healing Megumi. Confused, Megumi stopped struggling as Sukuna finished healing him, though he still had a lot of blood on his face.

As he let go of Megumi's arm, Sukuna decided to begin pretending he was actually from the heian era.

"Fujiwara, would you be so kind as to tell me what the current year is?"

Megumi looked at him, a confused expression on his face.

Ah, OGkuna was from over a thousand years ago right? So the Japanese from his memories probably isn't understandable by modern standards.

Before he could try again, a hand flew up to his head.

"Hey! What are doing with my body? Give it Back!"

It seems Yuji finally woke up.

Taking the liberty to sift through Yuji's memories, Sukuna gained an understanding of modern Japanese.

Sukuna responded, his voice a deep rumble laced with amusement. "Oh, you're still here? How… Interesting." The words carried a hint of surprise, genuine in its feigned curiosity.

Letting out a dramatic sigh, Sukuna continued, "Very well then, you may have your body back, Vessel."

Sukuna very much enjoyed the perplexed expression on Megumi's face, his eyes wide, mouthing 'What the fuck?' before he found himself sitting atop a pile of bones.

'Damn, OGkuna's domain was really edgy.'

He looked around, seeing the pile of bones surrounded by a shallow lake of blood, and a colossal ribcage in the sky.

If Yuji was brought here, it'll probably make him wary of Sukuna right?

He focused, peering into the depths of his inner self, willing his domain to change.

The ankle-deep pool of blood was turned into a calm blue ocean, deep enough to swim in.

The giant ribcage was replaced with a starry night sky.

Finally, the mound of skulls was kept, although Sukuna decided to expand it, adding a stone platform and a small shrine at the top, along with stairs going down to the ocean below, making a pathway to the place where he remembered Yuji falling in the show, making sure he wouldn't get wet.

Sukuna sat cross-legged inside the shrine trying to think of a way to troll Gojo.

The most obvious thing to do would be to use domain amplification to bypass limitless, but it'd be way more surprising for Gojo if Sukuna used the World Cutting Slash.

Unfortunately, Sukuna did not currently have access to Mahoraga, and thus could not adapt to limitless, so another method had to be found.

Sukuna pondered, deep in thought.

Limitless, specifically the neutral infinity, was the creation of infinite distance between the user and the outside world by increasingly slowing down anything that came in contact with infinity.

Sukuna smirked, he already knew what to do.

Under this Binding Vow:

Condition: Ryomen Sukuna's current Cursed Energy reserves are reduced by half

Result: Ryomen Sukuna's 'Dismantle' can instantly traverse any distance to hit its target. Any 'Dismantle' with this condition costs twice as much Cursed Energy as a comparable 'Dismantle' without this condition.

Satisfied, Sukuna decided to tune in to what his vessel was seeing, linking his awareness to the outside world.

"Hey, what's the situation?"

Gojo had arrived.

"Gojo sensei? What are you doing here?" Megumi replied, moving his hands away from the Mahoraga position, dispelling the shadows surrounding him.

Gojo took a few steps towards Megumi, holding a bag of kikufuku mochi by his side.

"I wasn't planning on showing up," Gojo started, bending forward to look closer at Megumi.

"But you look kinda roughed up, kid. I'll show the second-years! Say cheese!"

RIght, Megumi still had all the blood on him.

Megumi quickly turned away in annoyment as Gojo pulled out his phone and started taking dozens of pictures of the (previously) injured boy.

'The anime doesn't do nearly enough justice to how fast he is at taking pictures'

"Anyways, did you find the special-grade cursed object yet?"

Yuji sheepishly raised his hand.

"Sorry but, I uh… I ate it."

Gojo turned to him, surprised.

"For real?"

"For real." Megumi and Yuji Replied.

Gojo walked over to Yuji, examining him closely, eyes squinting through the blindfold.

"That's hilarious, it really did combine with you."

Gojo stepped back.

"Does your body feel weird? Any murderous urges? Extra limbs?"

"No, everything feels normal." Answered Yuji.

"So, can you swap out with Sukuna?"

"Sukuna?" asked Yuji

"That curse you ate" Gojo replied

Sukuna decided to use this opportunity to speak up, talking to Yuji through their mental connection.

'Vessel, tell him that I'll come out for three minutes on the condition I can have some of the mochi that he's holding'

Yuji blinked.

"Sukuna says he'll come out for three minutes if he can have some mochi"

Gojo laughed. "Sure! I didn't know the King of Curses had a sweet tooth!"

He began to stretch, expecting a fight.

"You can switch out now."

Yuji hesitated.

"But–"

"Don't worry, I'm the strongest." Gojo smirked.

Yuji nodded, and Sukuna felt a pull inside his domain.

'Stand proud, Satoru Gojo, for I shall show you who the real Jujutsu Kaisen is!'
