Alex woke up in an instant. Without any morning sleep left in his eyes. It was really tiring of the brain to not feel tired. He walked out of the temple and felt a sense of relief. Every second he stayed in the temple it was like his body rejected to be free. His senses reached their maximum capacity when he was in the entrance podium of the temple.
" I have not even entered the main building, and I am feeling this cornered." He walked into the tree city seeing the complete opposite of greenery and ashes in the same place.
The voice spoke out of nowhere " THE SKILL VOICE OF THE WORLD IS AVAILABLE AGAIN ".
He activated his sight ability for the first time after he reached the tree city. His sight range increased by 10 folds. It was like his physical eyes were only limited to their original range, but the skill allowed him to sense things including their colors. It was like he was imagining things, and they started appearing. His skill range was a sphere that had a radius of 100km in all sides. He was able to sense everything in the range both above him and under the ground.
His interest was dragged to a faint golden light glowing under the temple and a strong golden light in one of the tree houses. He first moved towards the tree house. It was big, a lot bigger than his grandfather's mansion on their private island near Spain. It was a multi storied building, it had around 25 floors, each as big as a 4-bedroom flat.
" And it's not even the largest" Alex chuckled as he saw even bigger buildings while he entered the city the day before.
The tree on which the building was built was at least 250 feet broad and many kilometers high. The building even after all of its fantasy elements was unnaturally modern. He could see wires which ones held an elevator. The wires were spanning from the top floor to the 5th. Two of its floors were burnt to crisps and in the remaining one's half were collapsed, and the rest were covered with large vines.
He reached the tree and tried to hold a grip. He was clearly shocked when his hands just nailed into the tree. He sensed that the tree was hollow from the inside. When he tried to pull out his hands, he broke a big chunk roughly twice his size. When he got rid of himself of the tree chunk, he entered the tree.
There was a single round elevated platform in the middle. The radius of the platform was around 6 feet, a tiny disk when compared to the gigantic width of the tree. He got onto the platform form. It was made of pure metal; he didn't recognize the name Tempered Soloium .
Suddenly the platform started to rise up. Alex sensed his body feeling tired for the first time after he entered this body. The platform raised in speed matching a rollercoaster, but it was stable all the way, at moments Alex was unable to even sense that he was moving up.
When the platform began to slow down there was a hole on top of him. The sunlight falling on his head, a breeze of cold air scrambling his night dress and his hair. The platform moved up and perfectly fitted into the hole above.
Alex was clearly surprised when he saw that he reached the top of the tree.
Then it his him " The magic! " He shouted out loud.
" As regular bodies use nutrients for energy and feel tired when the lack them. My new body uses magic in the same way as nutrients. As I am in middle of a soul realm, so there is no shortage of ambient magic " he finally got answer to the most irritating question he had.
The building might not be the largest, but the tree was the largest in the bunch. It was kilometers higher than other trees. Alex was able to blast out his vision skill and still was unable to sense ground. At the time when his sight ability was useless, his natural vision thrived. He was able to see all of the tree city in one go. Form the entrance in the west to the temple in the east. Alex Even saw a mountain range far away in the direction of the temple.
" It seems that we got our next stop " Alex sighed. The city was at least 500 kilometers in breadth with tree at least a kilometer in height becoming the ground for its building, well planned. Alex Even spotted one or two spots where trees were absent. Parks, each as big as the Central Park in Manhattan. He even spotted few building that resembled museums, libraries, corporate office and large central building resembling a government building.
He used his vision skill again, but this time closed his eyes. He was able to sense everything within his capacity. The trees were linked with silver color and there were only 2 golden lights. 1 was right behind him, it's golden light glowing like a sun in his perception. The other was only a hint that was hard to notice if not for the black background. Alex turned around, his eyes were filled with disappointment as he saw what was before him. Suddenly his anger shouts out as he screamed into the gushing winds " All of this for an egg! " .
