DOMINIC
I swiped through the pictures on my phone absentmindedly, a small smile tugging at my lips.
It was a photo of Harper and Mila from our last trip to the amusement park. I wouldn't lie, it was a first for me. When I was with Olivia, I barely had the time or the thought to go places like that. It felt like a waste of time.
My focus had always been on work. On providing for myself and the small family I had built. I wanted success on my own terms, not to be branded as just another Fletcher kid living off his father's wealth.
Looking back now, I can admit that my relationship with Olivia ended partly because of me. I had loved her, perhaps too much, smothered her with that love, and believed it would be enough. I never imagined that the little things mattered just as much.
Still, none of that excused what she did to me.
"Mr. Fletcher."
I jolted out of my thoughts at the mention of my name. Blinking away from my phone, I looked up to find eight pairs of eyes fixed on me.
