"I was scared..." she whispered, her tears falling from her cheeks that made him to frown. Gently Hades brushed away the tears from her cheeks. For some reason he was weak to those tears. If Evangeline was a bit craftier than she was now, she would cry a little for him and for whatever she asked, he wouldn't hesitate to offer them to her.
"I know," Hades replied to her as he gently lifted her body.
Upon seeing his arms, Evangeline pushed her body and wrapped her arms around his neck. She wasn't aware how Hades had only wanted to help her sit up on the bed and had instead hugged him. Yet being embraced so tightly, Hades didn't let out a single noise. He let himself being hugged, instead tightly embracing her back.
He realized as he envelope his arms around her small body that this what he had been wanting to do from earlier.
