"What?"I bluntly respond.
"What's going on?Why did you run off like that?"
"Maybe because my sworn enemy ruined our days plans."I respond stuffing my mouth with grapes.
"I brought you some pizza."He says then places the plate next to me.
"Thank you so much."
He moves closer,caresses my cheek and says, "Calithea...don't you think that maybe this feud has lasted long enough?High school is over remember?Have you tried maybe talking to her about why you dislike her?What exactly happened between you two?"
"First of all,I don't care if she dislikes me.Secondly,I never had her in mind when I said we could all hangout today.Why is she here Carlos?"
"Okay fine.We should've asked how you felt about her coming over first."
"Thirdly...she stole my bracelet in the first grade and lied about it.She then humiliated me in front of the entire school on my birthday that same year.She use to bully me for no reason.She once cut a piece of my hair when she sat behind me.She has an effect on Danniel I don't like.I feel like she's playing him way more than he's playing her,should I go on."
"Calm down."He says in an extremely calming tone.
I take a deep breath and do just that.
"That's it.Just breathe...Have you ever asked her why she started being such a b*tch to you?"
"I don't think I have actually..."
"Well...Don't you think maybe it's high time...?"
He's right.
"Thank you.I guess you have a point.She can stay or whatever.I don't wanna ruin our plans all because of your highness." I sarcastically say.
"Come on Calithea do it for me at least please."
He's looking me dead in the eyes and somehow I get lost in his.
"Cali..."
"Huh?"I snap out of it and immediately break eye contact.
"What do you say?Will you play nice for one night?"He asks trying his best not to smile.
"Fine.Let's go,but if she breathes too loud,I'm going to prison for attempted murder." I laugh then remember I'm barefoot.
"You wanna put on some shoes maybe?"
I stick my tongue out at him and he smiles.
After finding the nearest pair of shoes,I remember I have his clothes.
"Carlos!"I call out from the laundry room.
"Yeah!"
"Could you come in here please!"
I hear his footsteps get louder.As soon as he finds me,I hand him his clothes and he thanks me.
"You know you could've just come with these to the kitchen right?"He grins.
"I know."I say lightly pushing past him.
Soon after that,we're back at Danny's house.
We walk into the lounge and to my surprise,Danniel and Britney are cuddling on the couch looking as cozy as ever.
"Wait a minute...do they actually..."I whisper
"Yeah they do."Carlos whispers back.
My best friend and my sworn enemy....never saw that one coming.Then again I never saw my best friend being a feared leader of his own gang either so my eyes are basically out of order.
"Come on."Carlos puts his hand in mine and leads me to an empty two seater couch.
"Oh hey guys.Everything cool?"Danny asks carefully studying my body language.
"Yeah."I genuinely say.
"Awesome"Britney adds on.
Argh
Carlos tightens his grip on my wrist and kisses my cheek.
"Relax mami."He whispers.
This sends chills through my entire body.
"Okay."I say scooting closer so I can lay on his chest.
