Chapter 1 - 01: Pilot

Zhi Kyong had always believed life should feel like a stage. Even as a little girl in Beijing, she danced in her bedroom with a flashlight for a spotlight and a broomstick for a microphone. Her laughter echoed off the walls, loud, chaotic, impossible to ignore.

Her family didn't understand. "Sing for fun, Kyong," her mother would sigh. "Life is not a stage."

Kyong didn't care. Life was a stage. And she was going to conquer it.

She had a reason. A motivation bigger than dreams alone.

Lee Jaemin.

The most popular idol in Korea. Everyone loved him: his smile, his stage presence, his perfect visuals. Every magazine cover, every viral clip, every fan scream, it all revolved around him. And once, by chance, he had met her.

It was at a fan signing in Beijing. Kyong had barely believed her luck when she ended up face-to-face with him. And then… he bowed. A simple, polite bow, but his eyes had lingered just long enough for her heart to skip, for his face to be burned into her memory.

That single bow… that one perfect, fleeting moment… it changed everything.

Kyong didn't just want to be an idol. She wanted to be worthy of seeing him again on stage. She wanted to chase that kind of admiration, that kind of presence. She wanted to belong in the world where Jaemin lived.

So, at the age of seventeen, with a heart full of audacious dreams , she left China behind for Seoul. BLK Entertainment wasn't the biggest agency, but it was her first real step into the dream.

And of course, there was Kang Jaehyun.
