In the Fungus Castle, a guard of the Ministry of Truth controlled two blue mushroom-headed Puki as they escorted a dejected Horned Demon down the street, sparking discussions among the nearby Fungus People.
As a recent event, elsewhere it would probably take at least a day or two for news to spread to the taverns.
But due to the presence of the Fungal Network, gossip traveled extraordinarily fast within the Fungus Castle.
Almost minutes after the Horned Demon was taken away, a curious Fungus Person inquired about the situation and immediately shared it with others nearby.
"I've heard, I've heard! This guy is a worker from the Magic Crystal Ore veins, took an assignment but handed all the work to a Half-demon in the same group. The Half-demon controlled twenty Puki to do the work of forty, naturally causing issues. When investigated, the Horned Demon tried to blame the Half-demon, but was discovered by the examiners."
