A shining blade engulfed in Flames strikes forth. Crushing an entire land within a 5 mile radius. All that's left was ruin, rubble and debris. In the aftermath, The deity walks forward while thinking to himself...
???: The battle was distraught. But in the end I lived. But even still I decided. To have a Buddy alongside me while I pursue my goals.
Meanwhile, outside a house...
???: I'm off now.
A young boy runs outside of the house. He wears a red school uniform, black shoes and beach jeans.
???: My name is Hou Ren. Teng Hou Ren. I'm a seventh grader in my school. I don't mean to boast but I'm more of an adventuring thrill seeker. I'm great at tons of things, mainly games. I get B plusses, great at math, know how to rap and so on. But I gotta stop for a moment.
Hou arrives at his school, Helping hands academy. Many students are there chit chatting with each other.
Hou: This is my school. Helping Hands Academy. This school has produced some of the most excellent students there is in terms of academics, sports and even more.
As Hou Runs Forward To His Class...
Hou: Though to be clear, I don't really care about all that fancy stuff. I just want to enjoy my school life and oh !!! There he is.
The person he meets up with is Ranma Kakogawa. He's also in smiles.
Ranma: Hey Hou, took you long enough.
Hou: Yeah Yeah. (Narrates Offscreen) That's Ranma Kakogawa. He's my best pal and we're both are like right hand mans of each other. Did you know that he has excellent editing skills? Well guess what?
Their video channel show up with exclamation marks & airhorns all over them.
Hou: We just happen to own a video channel with over 200k subs. (Talking with Ranma) Man Ranma, you really edit those videos well.
Ranma: Hey, your stunt skills are like one to talk. I mean without your crazy moves and all, I don't think we can even make this far.
Hou: Hehe.
???: 200k subs. Pfft, what a bunch of losers.
Ranma: {Annoyed} Oh great, not that guy...
Another student walks up to them, looking all smug.
Hou: {Annoyed} Hello Jasraj...
Ranma: {Annoyed} What do you want?

Five Hours Later, the school ends. Students are heading home via transportation, walking, etc. As for Ranma & Hou, they chat before heading home.
Ranma: So same meetup for Saturday's shoot?
Hou: You know it. I have a few new stunts in mind that I wanna try.
Ranma: Can't wait. Oh yeah, I may need a video call later because I need help with homework.
Hou: Sure thing. Can't you come to my place though?
Ranma: Yeah but you know what your Mom is like.
Hou: Fair enough. See ya. (Runs off)
Ranma: Bye.
While running on the way home, Hou accidentally slips on the floor and lands on his bottom..
Hou: Wha...(Falls Down) Ough....My bottom. What in the...what?
It is revealed that Hou accidentally slips on a buddyfight card. He picks it up in curiosity.
Hou: What's this?
Later, at a park, Ranma is waiting. Hou then comes in running.
Hou: Ranma!!!
Ranma: Yo. What's up. Why the sudden call?
Hou: Uh...You might want to see this.
Ranma & Hou looks at the buddyfight card together...
Ranma: Gargantua Punisher???
Cinematic Sequence...
Ranma: Yo What? A super toads aces card? Where did you get it ??? Huh dude?
Hou: Uh....I sorta slipped on it?
Ranma: You know. There's like a super strong buddyfighter that actually owns this card. I'm talking Gao dude.
Hou: Yeah I know. He's like way strong.
Ranma: Could this card be his though?
Hou: I mean...
While talking, elsewhere, a familiar figure watches them with binoculars.
Hou: You know what? I just got an idea. I wanna try Buddyfighting.
Ranma: You wanna learn...To Buddyfight? (Hands back the Card)
Hou: (Takes It) Yeah.
Another cinematic sequence...
Ranma: Okay. So what do you know about the game. Like you know the worlds?
Hou: Yeah. There's Like Dragon World, Star Dragon World, Magic, Ancient, you name it.
Ranma: So you know as the game implies, there's going to be like different monsters partnering up with humans right?
Hou: Uh Huh. Literally, those things are everywhere. Look.
Elsewhere while walking, there are many citizens with many different monsters alongside them.
Ranma: Yep. Buddyfight. As in "Buddy" and "Fight". It's a game that allows you to team up with monsters and fight together.
Hou: Yep.
At a store, Ranma presents a start deck.
Ranma: And this here is a start deck. Beginners tend to buy these in order to start buddyfighting. But if you manage to get stronger cards, you can enhance your deck to who knows what.
Hou: Cool. But how do you even get those cards, aside from the deck?
Ranma: Well, here's your answer.
Ranma shows two different buddyfight packs that are being listed.
Ranma: You can open up these packs and get even more cards. It's kinda random so therefore it depends on your luck. And if you're lucky, you can even earn yourself a buddy rare.
Hou: Sounds wicked. Okay then I might as well buy one.
Ranma: Me too.
Once they purchased their packs, Ranma sets up the camera equipment.
Ranma: Okay, let's make this our newest vid. Featuring us opening our new packs.
Hou: In that case, let's roll. You know, since we only have two packs, this will be our first short.
Ranma: True...kinda crazy huh?
Ranma hits a button on his phone. Later on a screen, their intro sequence is being displayed.
Both: Whaddup Pals !!!
Ranma: Hey fans, it's us again. And today we're outside a card shop and we're going to be opening some new packs.
Hou: This is going to be stoked. So be sure to like and subscribe. Alright, I'm going first.
Hou opens his first pack and suddenly, a card in the pack glows. Everyone is shocked, including the people nearby. Suddenly, the two are transported to a rainbow subspace.
Ranma: What is going on?
Portal of different swords show up and the glowing card flies out of the pack and gets in front of the two.
???: I am the deity of combat...
The card glows brighter and reveals his full form. The subspace dissapears.
???: Gargantua Dragon.
Hou: Gar...gantua...Dragon?
People nearby starting to whisper as they witness the sight.
Ranma: You're kidding me. Your first pack of cards and you got a buddy rare???
Hou: I know...
Ranma: I've been a buddyfighter for like so long yet I couldn't even get a single buddy rare. This is really unfair dude.
Hou: Uh...(Looks at his buddy) You're my buddy???
Gargantua Dragon stands strong and proud.
Gargantua Dragon: [So he's my buddy. Very interesting. He seems young and quite unconventional. Perhaps I can train him into bettering himself.] Young Man of Destiny, please introduce yourself.
Hou: I'm Hou Ren.... Teng Hou Ren. People call me Hou but I suppose a full name is fine.
Gargantua Dragon: Hou Ren huh? That's a Nice Name. Please to meet you.
Hou: {Blushing} Gee...thanks
Beside him, Ranma is angry and teary eyed. Hou is kinda scared.
Hou: You...good???
Ranma: Hou....I'm gonna kill....
Suddenly, they all hear a police siren. Everyone's surprised to see a Buddy Police Car flying above and then slowly landing below. The same familiar figure steps out of the car. He wears a formal suit with a Buddy Police badge.
Gargantua Dragon: Hmmm, he's a headstrong one. I sense he's one of the users who once laid his hands upon my sword.
Hou: Who is that?
Ranma: You don't know who he is? That's Tasuku Ryuenji. He's like the head of the Buddy Police. The commissioner himself.
Tasuku: That's right. It's nice to meet you both, Ranma & Hou Ren.
Hou: You know our names?
Tasuku: Of course, I've been watching you guys via your channel. You both made quite a name for yourselves.
Hou: Oh...Uh...
Ranma: With all due respect, why are you here sir?
Tasuku: Simple. I want to deliver this core deck case to Mr. Hou Ren.
Tasuku shows Hou's core deck case. It's a blue neo core deck case.
Tasuku: This core deck case allows you to Luminize and fight alongside your buddy monster.
Hou: Luminize??? (Takes the case)
Tasuku: Well...you'll find out soon enough.
Hou: What does that mean?
Tasuku: It's simple. Please. Have a Buddyfight With Me.
Later on a bench, All three, including Gargantua Dragon have a look at the cards that Hou has.
Ranma: Okay. To build a deck, you need at least 50 cards. You also need one flag card and of course your buddy card.
Hou: Monsters, Spells and Items, and then there's Impacts. I really need to memorize them all.
Garga: Indeed. It is the buddyfighter's duty to know when and how to use those cards in the right timings. (Returns to his card)
Gargantua Dragon's card lands on Hou's fingertips, to which he looks at it with curiosity. Later in a buddyfight stage...
Tasuku: Alright, are you ready?
Hou: Yes I am.
Tasuku creates a buddyfight pad. Another pad appears in front of Hou, surprising him. Tasuku explains how it goes as he places cards in the correct zone.
Tasuku: First. Place your Flag Face Down in the Flag Zone. Then place your buddy card face down in the buddy zone.
Hou does it as followed.
Tasuku: We both start with 10 life points. First one to reach zero, loses. Now. Do as I do. (Starts Luminizing) Gather! Future dragons soaring through the galaxy! Luminize, Future Dragoner!
Hou: How did you...
Tasuku: Just tap your deck.
Hou: Okay...(Does So) A deity dragon's brigade descends through this battlefield. Come On. Luminize. Dradeity.
Hou's core gadget reveals to be a sword in a sword sheath. Everyone's surprised.
Hou: Woah...Where did this sword came from?
Tasuku: Your Core Gadgets represents your heart. In your case, I believe your heart is sharp like a sword.
Hou: Okay...What's next?
Tasuku: Now. With everything set up, the game is ready to begin. Say it with me everyone. Buddy...
All: FIGHT!!!
Both: Raise the Flag!!! (Flip their flag cards)
Tasuku: Star Dragon World.
Hou: Dragon World.
Tasuku: (Flips his buddy card) Star Dragoner, Jackknife.
Hou: (Flips his buddy card) Gargantua Dragon.
Both Monsters appear.
Tasuku: And with that, the game is officially underway. I'll go first so that I can show you how it's done. I'll start by Drawing a card from my deck, and then I charge my gauge by placing one card from my hand into it and draw another card.
Hou: Draw. Charge and Draw.
Tasuku: Correct. Draw means increasing your hand by one. Charge means increasing your gauge by one. Speaking of gauge, gauge is like a bank where you make "payments" in order to use stronger cards.
Ranma: (Breaks the fourth wall) Did you know back then Drawing wasn't allowed on the first turn? Well now, the rules have changed.
Tasuku: Alright. I'll start by calling a monster to the center. Rainbow Vision, Shadowscare.
Shadowscare enters play.
Tasuku: You can call as many monsters as you like. But you may only call monster that have a total size of 3 or less. Shadowscare, attack the fighter.
Shadowscare attacks and deals 2 damage to Hou.
Hou: Woah. I really took damage. But why am I okay for some reason?
Tasuku: Cards are not allowed to unleash their real power in game. Because if it does then you would get hurt now would you?
Hou: I see.
Tasuku: Buddyfight is an intense game, Hou Ren. Keep in mind the player who goes first can only attack once.
Hou: Got it. Okay my turn. Draw. Charge and Draw.
Gargantua Dragon notice that Hou just drew him.
Gargantua Dragon: [Excellent, I can enter play]
Hou: I call Garcat to the center. And Gardog to the left.
Both monsters are called.
Gardog: You howl, I answer Dog.
Garcat: Leave it to me, Cat.
Gargantua Dragon: [Strange...Why won't Hou Ren call me?]
Hou: Garcat, attack the fighter.
Tasuku: Uh Uh. You cannot. I have a monster in the center. You have to get rid of him before hitting me.
Hou: Oh...In that case, Garcat attack Shadowscare.
Garcat: Leave it to me!!! (Attacks)
Tasuku: I cast. Earth Barrier. (Blocks the attack) Earth barrier blocks your attack and I gain a life.
Hou: So that's how to use a spell. Gardog. Attack Shadowscare.
Gardog destroys Shadowscare.
Hou: Uh sadly I don't have any cards to attack. So my turn ends.
Hou's Stats: 8L, 2G, 6H
Tasuku's Stats: 11L, 3G, 5H
Tasuku: You're doing great. Now it's my turn. Draw. Charge and Draw. I pay 1 life and Equip...(Equips Item) J Star Saber.
Hou: So that's how you equip an Item.
Tasuku: That's not all. I buddycall Jack to the right.
Jack: (Appears) Greetings.
Tasuku's Life increases by one.
Hou: One Life?
Gargantua Dragon: A Buddy Gift. When you call your buddy, you gain one life.
Tasuku: Jack's Ability. (Activates Ability) I place Jackarms, J Igniter into his soul.
Both: Crossnize.
Jack Crossnizes with Igniter.
Narrator: Rule Shift. Variant Form. All devices Engaged. FCS active. Load Finish.
Jack: Ignite Blade.
Hou: Did he just combine with another monster? That's so cool.
Tasuku: You haven't seen nothing yet. Shadowscare to the left.
Shadowscare enters play.
Tasuku: J Star saber's ability. I pay 1 gauge and place the top card of my deck and one more monster from my dropzone into Jack's soul.
Ranma: {Surprised} He's adding more cards to the soul.
Tasuku: Jack, it's time.
Jack: I'm ready.
Tasuku: Golden Dragoner Jackknife Dragon, to the right.
Jack becomes his golden self.
Jack: At last, I get to unleash my powerup form.
Ranma & Hou: {Surprised} He Turned Gold !!!
Tasuku: Golden Dragoner, Jackknife. Size 2. 6000 power & defense. A critical of 2. He's my buddy's evolved form. The shining star itself. Jack's ability activates. I choose two cards from his soul and destroy two of the enemy's cards.
Garcat & Gardog: CURSES. (Destroyed)
Ranma & Hou: Uh Oh!!!
Tasuku: For each card eliminated, I gain 1 life.
Hou: Woah...This is intense...
Tasuku: I'm up first. (Attacks)
Tasuku's attack hits, landing two damage.
Tasuku: Jack.
Jack: Leave it to me. (Attacks)
Jack's attack also hits. But Hou Remains standing as he endures.
Jack: Jack has double attack. Sorry Hou Ren, but it looks like this is game end for you.
Jack attacks...
Hou: Cast. Blue Dragon Shield. (Blocks)
Jack: Looks like he learned how to cast defense spells too.
Tasuku: {Impressed} My turn is over.
Ranma: The Commisioner has a bunch of life points and Hou only has 1. This is not good...
Hou: My turn. Draw. Charge & Draw.
Hou notices what he drew in surprise. Suddenly, he stomps the ground, cracking his neck left and right, turning his wrist wraps. His eyes suddenly turn extreme and cat-like.
Ranma: He's...
Gargantua Dragon: [Looks like he's getting serious...]
Hou: Equip. (Equips an item) Deity Dragon Sword, Garblade.
Tasuku: He learns fast.
Hou: Okay, it's your turn now. Ready?
Gargantua Dragon: YES.
Hou: Buddycall to the right.
Gargantua Dragon goes to the right & Hou's life increases by one.
Hou: Gargantua Dragon. Size 2. 7000 power. 4000 defense. A critical of 2. Proudly known as the Deity of Combat. And has traversed beyond dimensions to become my buddy.
Gargantua Dragon: All are powerless before my blade.
Jack: What shall I do? Shall I move?
Tasuku: Yes. Move to the center.
Jack moves to the center.
Hou: Gargantua Dragon. Attack Jackknife.
Gargantua Dragon: As you wish. (Attacks)
Jack loses one soul card.
Hou: What just happened?
Ranma: Soulguard...he used the card in it's soul to revive.
Hou: Okay. (Attacks) Try this then.
Jack loses one soul card.
Hou: Finish Him.
Gargantua Dragon lands the last attack. He shoots his swords and Jackknife is officially destroyed.
Hou: I did it.
Ranma: Nice One.
Hou: FYI, Garblade has double attack. (Attacks)
Tasuku receives 2 damage.
Tasuku: Haha. You surprised me, Hou Ren. You managed to learn fast. But...sadly, you have no cards left to attack with. It seems this game is over.
Hou: Not yet. I have an ace up on my sleeve.
Tasuku: Huh?
Hou holds out a card in his hand.
Hou: Gargantua Dragon. G-EVO Activate. Change. Gargantua Dragon, Blast Mode.
Gargantua Dragon starts to change form. His form suddenly turns Red. His swords combined into two large swords.
Garga: Blast....Mode!!!
Ranma: Woah...
Tasuku: He changed form too...
Hou: (Closes his eyes) When I received Gargantua Dragon as my buddy, I somehow pulled this card. It was then I knew...(Opens his eyes) my image of victory is the truth.
Tasuku: My...
Gargantua Dragon: [This young boy is something. He withstood the heavy onslaught. Waited for the right timing to strike. And he even posses the sheer luck he needs to draw the card he needs most. I'm impressed...Teng Hou Ren, you are absolutely worthy of being my buddy.]
Suddenly, a card in Hou's hand glows. The Gargantua Punisher in Hou's hand changed...Everyone's surprised.
Hou: It changed to a picture of me...
Gargantua Dragon: By my power, The Gargantua Punisher is reborn. It is now the Deity Gargantua Punisher.
Hou: Deity...Gargantua...Punisher?
Gargantua Dragon: Don't just stand there. Attack.
Hou: Right. Blast Mode. Attack the fighter.
Gargantua Dragon: Gladly. (Attacks) I have a critical of 4. Because I entered through G-EVO, my attacks cannot be blocked.
Gargantua Dragon's attack lands twice. Dealing 8 Damage.
Gargantua Dragon: Young One. Final Phase.
Hou: Final Phase. I cast. (Pays 2 gauge) Deity Gargantua Punisher.
Cinematic Sequence...
Hou: IMPACT....DEITY....GARGANTUA....PUNISHER!!!!
Punisher lands the strike, causing the game to end. Tasuku officially lost in smiles.
Hou: {Cheerful} I WON.
The crowd cheers loud.
Ranma: Nice One. That's the Ace of Games for you.
Gargantua Dragon watches in smiles.
Tasuku: [Teng Hou Ren...He is quite an odd one...]
Sunset arrives...
Tasuku: That was an excellent fight. I wish you both success on your careers.
Hou: Wait...Ummm...I want to return this I believe...
Hou shows the Deity Gargantua Punisher Card. Tasuku sees in surprise before he smiles again.
Tasuku: Keep it. You are officially the new heir of the Punisher Card.
Tasuku gets into his car and he drives away.
Hou: How does he...
Ranma: Didn't you know? Tasuku, I mean, the Commissioner, was the first heir to the punisher card. Meaning he used to own it too.
Hou: WHAT? You didn't tell me???
Ranma: I mean you didn't ask, my man.
Hou: Aww man...
Gargantua Dragon: Tell me, Young One. Is your Home nearby?
Hou: Yeah, it's pretty close. Wait, does this mean you're staying with me.
Suddenly, Hou's phone rang, to which he picks up.
Hou: Ma?
Hou's Mother: WHERE ARE YOU MISTER? YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HOME HOURS AGO!!!
Hou & Ranma: Uh Oh...
Intro Segment Plays.
Both: Whaddup Pals.
Ranma: Hey guys, Its us again, and today we're going to introduce today's card.
Hou: It's Deity Gargantua Punisher. This impact requires two gauge. It also requires a Dragod on the field.
Ranma: It deals 5 damage to the opponent. Unable to block, reduce or even revive. It's wickedly an ace card.
Hou: So if you guys want to use this impact. Make sure to have Gargantua Dragon on the field. Your opponent's life points must be 5 or less. Do so and you can win against your opponent.
