Eryx leaned closer slowly until their faces were barely apart. "You disappearing didn't suddenly make me blind," he murmured. "If anything, it made everything worse."
Athena's expression shifted slightly at the honesty in his voice.
Eryx noticed it immediately. Then his lips curled faintly. "Don't look shocked now," he said quietly. "You're the one who came back acting like temptation in human form."
Athena only smile faint as her eyes dropped to his lips. Then he leaned closer slowly, his gaze dropping to her lips as the distance between them disappeared inch by inch.
But just before his mouth could touch hers… Athena placed a finger against his lips.
Eryx paused instantly.
Athena bit lightly against her lower lip, a small smile playing at the corner of her mouth like she was enjoying this far too much.
Her eyes stayed on him the entire time. "Look at you," she murmured softly. "You were ready to forget your anger very quickly."
