Chapter 3 - After giving the Dragon God position, Old Deng-The Dragon God, he ran away

"Little Gu Xun, you can stay here for now."

Yun Ni led Gu Xun to a wooden cottage with one living room, two bedrooms, and one bathroom. Gu Xun looked around and thought it was pretty decent.

"Oh, by the way, little brother Gu Xun, do you have any money? If not, I can give you some."

"Um... no, but no, I can support myself."

"Really? How do you plan to support yourself? You don't have to feel awkward."

Yun Ni looked at Gu Xun suspiciously. Gu Xun thought for a moment, finally glancing at his inventory. He pulled out a bottle of potion and began to make things up.

"This is my second martial spirit—a potion-making ability. It produces healing potions."

"You have dual martial spirits?! Genius! Can I try it? This is the first time I've seen food as a martial spirit."

"Sure."

Gu Xun handed Yunni the Instant Healing II potion. She took a sip and found the healing effect surprisingly effective—sufficient even for a Spirit Master at the Spirit Elder level.

"Tastes pretty good. So, Gu Xun, are you selling these potions to support yourself?"

"Pretty much."

Gu Xun nodded in agreement. Yun Ni pondered for a moment. It was truly strange that a genius like Gu Xun, possessing dual martial spirits, had been lost on Elf Planet by others.

"Well then, Gu Xun, stay here for the night. You can go earn money tomorrow."

"Oh, alright. Thanks."

After speaking, Gu Xun rose and idly paced the room before lying by the window, gazing out at the dimly lit Elf Tribe settlement.

He pulled out a baked potato and took a bite, immediately wrinkling his nose. It tasted awful! Utterly flavorless.

Gu Xun checked his inventory, scrolled to the bottom, clicked to add mods, and finally found several food mods to install.

He pulled out a hamburger and ate it. After finishing his meal, he felt drowsy—after all, he'd been traveling from morning till afternoon and was naturally exhausted.

Just as Gu Xun fell asleep, multicolored scales began appearing on his body, covering his right forearm.

Simultaneously,

Gu Xun's consciousness entered a pitch-black void. Surveying his surroundings, his lucid mind furrowed in confusion.

"What's strange about this place?"

Gu Xun sensed a guiding presence and followed its direction. Soon, he spotted a petite figure.

The small silhouette clearly noticed Gu Xun too and immediately trotted toward him. As the figure drew nearer,

He saw a child with short black hair. Their eyes met.

"Are you awake?"

Gu Xun crossed his arms, observing the child with lively eyes as he asked. The child, too, looked at Gu Xun with puzzlement.

"Who are you? Why did you appear in my dream? And I feel such a familiar aura around you..."

Hearing the words, Gu Xun froze for a moment. Then, several multicolored dragon scales appeared on his body. Simultaneously, two blades of grass with golden and silver patterns emerged in the child's hands.

Gu Xun sensed the bloodline within the child conveying a sense of familiarity to him, as if... it were his own son.

"My Blue Silver Grass seems quite fond of you. Who are you?"

The child blinked curiously, his large eyes fixed intently on Gu Xun. Gu Xun, in turn, studied the child's signature Blue Silver Grass and the person whose presence resonated so deeply with his Dragon God bloodline.

There was no doubt about it—this was the fourth-level protagonist, Lan Xuanyu.

Gu Xun appraised Lan Xuanyu. He had to admit, inheriting Gu Yuena's genes certainly made him quite adorable.

"When asking someone's name, shouldn't you introduce yourself first?"

Gu Xun crossed his arms, observing Lan Xuanyu as he spoke. Lan Xuanyu paused briefly before replying:

"My name is Lan Xuanyu. And you?"

"Gu Xun."

Gu Xun's eyes flashed with a look of "I knew it" upon hearing Lan Xuanyu's introduction. Lan Xuanyu then looked at Gu Xun curiously and asked,

"So, do you know where we are?"

"Someone must have brought us here, like... that guy over there. Do you still need to hide?"

Gu Xun sensed it with his bloodline and detected a being sharing the same bloodline origin as himself. He looked over and spoke.

Lan Xuanyu followed his gaze and saw a nine-colored divine dragon, vast enough to obscure the sky, appear before transforming into human form.

A stern, middle-aged man with black hair appeared. Lan Xuanyu immediately grew wary and fixed his gaze on the figure.

The middle-aged man looked at Lan Xuanyu, then at Gu Xun. Feeling the bloodline within Gu Xun, his face twisted in shock.

"Bloodline of the same origin as mine? Impossible... Could it be that both the Golden Dragon and Silver Dragon perished simultaneously, causing their reincarnation to form a complete bloodline?"

"...Never mind. As long as the inheritor has appeared, that's all that matters."

The middle-aged man muttered a few words before pulling out a pile of items and shoving them into Gu Xun's hands.

"What is this?"

Gu Xun found himself holding a nine-colored crystal, a nine-colored dragon scale, and a nine-colored sword.

Simultaneously, a stream of information flooded Gu Xun's mind: the Nine Trials of the Dragon God. His brain froze for a moment.

Just as Gu Xun was about to ask why the man had given him all these things, the dark-haired middle-aged man vanished in a flash.
