She was suddenly attracted to him but he wasn't what she wanted.... He just wasn't that type of person but fate made them a perfect match!
Wilda drove into her garage and parked her new model. She was into cars as she was a car designer and the head of her team. The model was a success and the only one in existence as of now. This was supposed to be a happy day but Wilda was having it bad. Walking into her house with calm footsteps but with raging anger that was only visible in her eyes but can be felt from a mile away. She had just returned from her parents house and that was the genesis of her anger. Someone peaked out from the hallway to check who just walked in, wearing a shy smile his whole figure surfaced. Green eyes with a hair net covering his curly blonde hair and an apron which just goes ahead to explain where he just came out from. His smile could brighten up a room and melt people's hearts but same could not be said when it gets to Wilda 's heart and the fact that she was the exact opposite was not helping issues.
"Welcome home" he said to her while wiping his wet hands on a towel he was holding. But the woman in question did not even spare him a glance as she sat lost in thought, but after sometime she seemed to notice a presence around her and that was when she looked up and her violet eyes met his figure. Wilda stood up to go to her bedroom as she was unwilling to see the one person she hated with a type of passion. The same man she was forced to marry by her parents for no good reason. Her parents insisted that their reasons was for her own good. At first she had refused but with her mother's life on the line she did but her heart wasn't very accepting of the one who became her husband and still isn't and now she hated him even more. But the funny thing was that even with the cold shoulder, he never once returned the measure he was given, he never retaliates and always had that annoying smile on his face which always pisses her off. She shut the door behind her as she sat on the bed lost again in thought.
Suddenly an idea came to her, she walked to her safe and put in her pin, after retrieving a document from it she locked it. In her hands was a contract and divorce letter. Both had her signature signed, this was the only peaceful way she knew to break off this madness her parents put her in. She walked back downstairs with them and called out for him which rarely happens and if she did she asked the maids to fetch him. There was no response so she called out again getting angry.
Carl slowly appeared before her still in his apron with shock and a hint of joy. He was obviously happy with this development and his name sounded divine coming from her lips. Finally his wife, who was also his crush asked to see him! It was the first time in over a year plus so he hurriedly went to her.
"Yes..."
"Take a look at this and sign it"
Having nothing in mind Carl picked up the document with a very big smile but that smile dropped immediately it came, meanwhile Wilda sat crossed legged without a hint of emotion. Her violet eyes dead to it as she watched him.
"You have the whole of today to think about it. I need a response by tomorrow". She was about to walk off when she heard a voice, soft but... Broken. "Why?..." Wilda scoffed. "Isn't it obvious... I DON'T LIKE YOU! YOUR VERY PRESENCE IRRITATES ME!". Wilda knew she just hit something cos the air in the room changed and the look in his eyes and his body language echoed the meaning of broken in silence which was very loud... He met her eyes for the first time and she saw something that moved her heart of stone to her utter shock! A part of her was pained, something she didn't know existed in her. But she couldn't look away from them as they bore hurt... The type that pierced her very soul and she just couldn't explain why,
which was suddenly getting her angry, not at him but at herself like there was a conflict going on inside her scolding and rebuking her for what she had done.
She didn't know how long they had stayed starring into each others eyes but the pain got deepened when she saw the tears pooling in his eyes but he was fighting them off forcing him to look away from her and sign the two documents without reading the second one. Carl turned to leave but was stopped by a statement she made.
"I'll transfer the money to your account imm.."
"I don't need it". It was barely a whisper but she heard it loud and clear with his back to her, were they always this cold? For a very brief moment she saw herself holding onto his back but just like that it vanished and his back was no longer in view. She sighed forcing the guilt she felt out of her heart as she picked up the documents and went upstairs trying her best to convince herself that at least she got what she always wanted even though she felt like shit! That night sleep was a stranger to her as she kept remembering those eyes that kept hunting her even when she closed her eyes.
