Nico Romano entered the mansion with a heavy heart eager to discuss with his father the concerns of any six years old but he got more disappointed when he realized his father wasn't home.
"Did he tell you when he'll be back?" he asked the butler quietly.
The butler shook his head. His heart went out to the little boy.
Nico nodded and headed to his room when he got intercepted by a young blonde woman. She was his dad's fiancé and even though he didn't like the woman one bit, he knew his dad was with her because she was pretty.
Like really pretty in a loud way except she wasn't so nice to people and he didn't like her.
"Hi, Nico," she smiled at him.
Nico stared at Bianca Maserati and ignored her. He just stood there waiting for her to move so he could head to his room.
"How was school today?" she asked.
His cold attitude wasn't throwing her off, Nico noted. Looks like she was determined to get through to him today.
Unfortunately, she couldn't do that because he had no intention of bonding with a two-faced person.
Nico knew she didn't love him, she just wanted him close to her so she could wrangle her way into him and his father's life. "Why won't you speak to me?" she asked in an irritating voice.
Nico ignored her still.
"I know they said you have a condition but dude, say something!" she chuckled, her tone laced with mockery.
"I don't have a condition!" Nico snapped.
She looked taken aback that she gazed at him flustered for a second. He had never spoken to her before all through her time in this house.
"You spoke to me, Nico!" she gushed happily.
Nico rolled his eyes. "I don't want to speak to you ever, that's why I never reply to you."
Bianca's mouth was still hanging open when he walked past her and entered his room slamming the door.

Enzo Romano stepped into his mansion and sighed. He had a stressful day at the office and he just wanted to relax and enjoy.
"Welcome, Master. Young master asked of you," his butler informed him.
Enzo nodded and headed straight to his son's room. He was surprised to see his son thrashing and clutching his pillow in a death grip.
"Mom, save me!" he mumbled.
He felt really bummed and guilty when he heard his son calling for his mother in his unconscious state. He could only imagine how many times his son had wished for a mommy in his conscious state.
Gently, he shook his son up. Familiar brown eyes stared back at him.
"Hey, buddy. You ok?" he asked softly.
Nico nodded.
"The butler said you were looking for me earlier," he said.
Nico nodded. "Mommy."
Enzo sighed. "Bianca is going to be your new mommy soon."
Nico shook his head violently. "Not Bianca. Another mom." Enzo nodded. "Alright, that's enough. I'll get you another mommy, ok."
He nodded happily. "Thank you, dad."
"Go back to bed then. It's late," Enzo stated before leaving the room.
With a troubled heart, he headed downstairs to his bar. He needed to drink a bit. It often made him think clearer.
He poured himself a scotch and sipped it gently. He had always thought that Bianca would make a good mother to his son.
He didn't need much just for him to be trained and well-mannered although his son already possessed these qualities he still needed a mom. Enzo was convinced that a mom who his son loved will play a long role in helping Nico recover.
Enzo drank a few more glasses before he headed back inside. The butler was waiting for him there.
"Here are the documents you requested," the butler said, handing him some documents.
Enzo didn't know if he was sane enough for work so instead of going to his study next he retired to his room.
On entering his room, he saw Bianca sprawled on his bed dressed in a very sexy nightdress.
"Hey, honey," she smiled flirtatiously at him.
Enzo frowned. "What are you doing here, Bianca?"
Bianca stood up in all her full beauty. She was average height and had really beautiful natural blonde locks. She had beautiful pouty pink lips.
She batted her lashes. "I wanted to help you relax. After all the time spent at work the least I can do is to give you a steamy massage."
Enzo scoffed. "I can't believe this. I'm getting married to you so you can be a mother to my son but you're not ready to be one."
Bianca's face twisted into a frown. "I tried bonding with him earlier but he just shut me off. And he hasn't spoken to me before except today when he told me he didn't like me."
Enzo gave her a weird look. "Can you hear yourself? We're talking about my son! If you want to be a part of this family then you bond with him." Bianca's frown deepened. "Are we really going to fight over a kid you never wanted?"
Enzo felt like he'd been punched in the gut. "What gave you the right to speak to me in such a manner?"
He saw remorse in Bianca's face immediately.
"I'm sorry, Enzo. I just don't want you to be stressed out. I'll try harder with your son," she said. Enzo glared at her. He knew the kind of person she was so he didn't trust a word of what she said.
"Let's just have fun tonight," she drawled.
"Get out!"
Bianca looked shocked at Enzo's request. He was staring at her blankly and waiting patiently for her to leave. She was just about to convince him to hurry up with the wedding but his son had to ruin things for her again.
She strutted out of his room full of anger but she channeled it to one zone—how to get married to Enzo.
She wasn't bothered with Enzo's ice character because she has been with him for a long time. She had a lot to gain in this marriage and his attitude was something she could endure.
She smiled when she realized that she was going to pull off her plan. She would start working her charms on Nico by morning.
He would then accept her and his father would marry her and she would be the wife of one of the wealthiest men in Italy.
With a vicious look on her face, Bianca stared at Enzo's closed room door as the feeling of his rejection settled in.
"You just wait, Enzo. I'm going to do whatever it takes to get you."
