"Am I looking pathetic?" Elias Hale seemed to suddenly awaken, touching his face with both hands. The prickly stubble was somewhat rough, and the smell of alcohol overwhelming—he truly was a bit of a mess right now!
Elias Hale ran back to the hotel like a madman, rushing into the bathroom, not caring whether the water was cold or cool, dousing himself with all of it. In his haste, he cut several nicks on his chin with the razor!
"Master, are we really following him at this hour?" Jenson Ona asked impatiently.
"If you don't want to stay, then leave, but don't ever claim to be my apprentice afterward!"
"Master, are you admitting it?" Jenson Ona said excitedly.
Melody Thorne snorted with pride; it seemed taking on an apprentice was not a bad idea, even if a bit silly.
"That's great, Master. I promise I'll be filial to you from now on."
