Natalie Vaughn rarely intervenes in Zane Thorne's matters, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care. And Zane knows exactly what Natalie is thinking, even if she doesn't say it out loud.
This is their mutual understanding.
Zane holds Natalie in his arms, gently patting her waist.
"I know what I'm doing, don't worry."
The tactics of those people always start with those around him, using his attachment to emotions back then to drive him off the race track, and now they still exploit his emotions.
First his wife, then his club members.
But they forget that he is no longer the Zane of the past.
He's never lacked the resources.
If they want to play games, he'll play with them.
"For now, don't drive yourself. I'll personally take you around."
Natalie knows Zane is doing this to eliminate the worries at the back of his mind.
"There's really no need for you to pick me up personally. I can manage myself, or get the bodyguards to do it. You focus on your own business."
