Synopsis
In a world where power decides everything, emotions are considered weaknesses. Kiara Oberoi believes in loyalty above all. To her, friendship is sacred, betrayal is unforgivable, and power is something you control — not something that controls you. But every empire has an enemy. And hers is a man carved from ambition and danger. Cold-minded. Strategically brilliant. Ruthless when necessary. He doesn’t believe in loyalty — only advantage. He doesn’t chase power — he owns it. Their worlds were never meant to collide. Yet fate places them on opposite sides of a silent war where trust is fragile, alliances shift overnight, and one wrong decision can destroy years of legacy. As tension turns into something far more dangerous than hatred, Kiara finds herself trapped between two choices: Stand by loyalty and protect the people she values most… Or risk everything for a love that could either save her — or ruin her. In this power game, friendship is tested, betrayal is tempting, and love is the most unpredictable move of all. When the time comes… what will she choose? Power — or the enemy who holds her heart?

Chapter 1 - chapter 1: The first move

The phone kept vibrating near her pillow

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

She didn't wake up immediately.

By the fourth vibration, her eyes opened slowly. The room was still dark, the faint blue light of early dawn slipping through the curtains.

She reached out blindly and answerd without checking the screen

"Hello?"

"Ma'am, are you related to Ms. Aarohi Roy?" a hospital staff member asked urgently. "She's been in an accident. She's currently admitted. She's unconscious."

For two seconds, Kiara said nothing.

"What hospital?" she asked, already sitting up.

After the call ended, she didn't think.

She changed out of her night suit immediately, pulled on the first clothes she could find, tied her hair back, grabbed her keys—

And left.

The drive felt longer than usual.

When she reached the hospital, Aarohi was already in surgery.

Kiara had waited outside in silence.

No tears. No panic.

Just stillness.

After that

The door opened gently

She stepped inside

Aarohi: "…Kiara?"

Kiara: "You're awake."

Aarohi: "Why does my leg feel like it doesn't belong to me?"

Kiara: "Because it's fractured. Don't try to move."

Aarohi: "How long was I out?"

Kiara: "Since last night."

Kiara: "…What happened?"

Aarohi: "I were crossing near the main road. A black car came at high speed. It didn't slow down."

Kiara: "…And?"

Aarohi: "It hit me. Then drove off."

Kiara: "So… hit and run."

Aarohi: "Yes."

Pause.

Aarohi: "Do you believe that?"

Kiara: "Believe what?"

Aarohi: "That it was an accident."

Kiara: "No."

Aarohi: "…I didn't think so."

Kiara: "It was deliberate."

Aarohi: "You think so too."

Kiara: "The car didn't brake. Witness said it accelerated."

Aarohi: "Then I already know who it is."

Kiara: "Your enemy?"

Aarohi: "Besides him, no one else would dare."

Kiara: "You're sure?"

Aarohi: "I'm sure."

Silence.

Kiara: "Fine."

Aarohi: "Fine?"

Kiara: "You rest."

Aarohi: "Kiara—"

Kiara (calm, steady): "I'll find out who's behind this."

Aarohi: "You don't have to—"

Kiara: "I want to."

Short pause.

Kiara: "If someone thinks they can touch you and walk away…"

Aarohi: "…They miscalculated."

Kiara (slight nod): "Exactly."
