Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Encounter with the Little Puppy

Vivian looked at them amusedly and said, "Usually by five in the afternoon you all rush toward the cafeteria like starving wolves, but today you managed to hold on until six?? That defies all logic."

Tanya Taylor and Megan Dalton walked up to Vivian, took her by the arms, and led her out of the dorm while saying, "Regardless of logic, let's eat first!"

Victoria Sheridan casually closed the dorm door and said, "Yes, today let's go to Cafeteria Eleven and order every dish on the menu."

What!?

Vivian had no time to react before she was whisked away by her dormmates.

In Cafeteria Eleven, Vivian watched her three roommates devour their food beside her and couldn't help but smile as she said, "Slow down, it's not like anyone's competing with you for it..."

Upon hearing Vivian's words, Tanya Taylor looked up and, her mouth full, asked, "By the way, Vivian, didn't you go tutoring today? So, was it a guy or a girl?"

Vivian held her fork, picked up a piece of spicy boiled meat, and calmly replied, "It was a guy."

"Really?" Megan Dalton and Victoria Sheridan simultaneously looked up with gossipy expressions, asking Vivian, "Is he good-looking?"

"Not bad." Vivian thought for a moment, figuring Ethan Hayes was the kind of guy girls would find attractive, but his personality was... well... hard to explain.

"Is he tall?" Tanya Taylor asked, eyes shining.

"I'd say he's over 185 cm." Vivian answered casually.

"Wow!" The three of them exclaimed in unison, "Good-looking and tall, Vivian, you might want to consider getting closer to him."

"Consider what, he's younger than me, okay." Vivian looked at the three before her, somewhat speechless, and said while chuckling.

"How much younger can he be? He's a senior in high school, right? At most, he's a year younger than you." Tanya Taylor exclaimed excitedly, "Nowadays, younger guys and older girl relationships are the trend, think about it, think about it."

"No way." Vivian rejected instantly without even thinking, silently relieved she hadn't mentioned that Ethan and she shared the same birthday, otherwise they'd be arguing that they were a match made in heaven.

Victoria Sheridan continued eating while asking Vivian, "You mentioned before, that this tutoring student doesn't do well academically and has a rather nasty personality. Judging by your reaction, is it true?"

Sigh...

At the mention of this, Vivian couldn't help but sigh inwardly, "It's okay, not particularly nasty, maybe he just feels a bit resistant to me."

Tanya Taylor listened to Vivian's words, hesitated a bit, then asked quietly, "Not doing well academically, but how bad is it?"

"The kind that fails every subject." Vivian looked desolately at her roommates and said in a somber voice, "The worst part is he doesn't seem to care much, I suddenly feel like Professor Shaw dug a big hole for me."

"Then you definitely shouldn't pursue him." Megan Dalton shook her head after hearing Vivian, "A straight-A student and a failing one, their mental worlds aren't even on the same level, even if they do get together, it won't last."

Tanya Taylor and Victoria Sheridan nodded vigorously in agreement, "Makes sense."
