As the battle progressed to this point, quite a few people had already fled from the camp. The pressure from this Demon was simply too overwhelming—if you weren't careful, you'd die.

Once one person ran, more followed, but no one was paying attention to them at this point.

The monster changed its strategy, targeting the weaker people in the camp. Breaking free from the shackles of the blood-red thorns, it lunged at a man in a gray combat suit and bit off his upper body.
After devouring that person, its wounds began to visibly heal at a rapid pace.
Yet this also opened it up to more attacks, hundreds or thousands of them, assailing the Demon. Even with its nimble body, it could only dodge a few.
The Demon's body was incredibly tough; most attacks hitting it felt like tickling, some unable to pierce its defense at all.
