"Are you really okay?" Louise asked softly, his gaze searching Orion's face for any sign of distress. "Did I say something funny?"
"I'm fine," Orion finally replied, forcing a small, shaky smile. His voice sounded calm enough, but his fingers trembled slightly as he reached out and touched the bandage around Louise's head. His eyes softened, something between anger, guilt, and disbelief flickered in them.
"Why didn't you dodge?" he asked quietly. "You're an Esper, for heaven's sake. A high level one at that. You could've easily avoided that."
