"And yet… I don't feel afraid. It's strange, but… he feels safe."
Shinobu Kocho smiled softly.

Mitsuri Kanroji nodded enthusiastically.
"I'm sorry, old man! I take back what I said before about you being useless. Let's fight together!"
Sanemi Shinazugawa bowed his head, sincere for once.
Escanor simply shook his head.

At the same instant, Gyokko lunged from another direction.
Akaza stood atop Hantengu's wooden dragon, charging his energy.
Kokushibo and Doma unleashed long-range attacks in tandem.
The six Upper Moons attacked together—a strike that could obliterate anyone in theory.
But the man before them… was Escanor.
"A quick end? That's my line."
Escanor raised his hand.
From the rubble, the golden sacred axe Rhitta flew into his grasp.
He bent his knees and leapt skyward.
Above him, a blazing orb of fire appeared, swelling like a miniature sun.
The demons froze in horror.
"Cruel Sun."
His voice was calm—merciless.
The sun dropped.

The world itself seemed to crack apart.
When the light faded, the six Upper Moons were gone—nothing left but ash.
Only Muzan Kibutsuji remained.

Sanemi stared in disbelief.

Himejima clasped his hands and prayed.
"Waaah! Escanor-san! Look—Muzan's doing something!"
Mitsuri cried out, pointing.
"Wait—he's splitting!"
"He's trying to escape!"
Tanjiro and the others shouted.
And they were right.
From the moment Nebula transformed, Muzan had been thinking of running. He never got the chance—until now.
But after witnessing Escanor's godlike power—stronger even than Yoriichi—he completely abandoned any thought of fighting.
His muscles swelled grotesquely before bursting apart.
His body split into over eighteen hundred fleshy fragments, each flying in a different direction.

He swung his weapon.
