Chapter 8 - Speed and Strategy

The battlefield had become a blur of chaos. Metropolis and Gotham collided with New York's skyline, streets fractured, smoke curling into the violet glow of the rift overhead. Explosions echoed, shattering glass and sending debris raining onto the heroes and civilians alike.

Through it all, Flash streaked past, leaving red lightning trails, dodging energy blasts from Parademons and firing back with kinetic strikes. Beside him, Quicksilver mirrored his every move in silver streaks, creating a deadly dance of speed and precision. Together, they intercepted attacks too fast for anyone else to react, redirecting destructive energy away from the most vulnerable zones.

"Batman, I need coordinates for civilian evacuation," Flash called, skimming over the rooftops.

"Already in progress," Batman's voice replied, calm and cold, a sharp contrast to the chaos surrounding them. Nightwing and Robin executed his tactical commands flawlessly, neutralizing enemy reinforcements with silent precision.

Below, Thor's lightning tore through Parademon squads, scattering them like leaves in a storm. Hulk slammed Doomsday into broken streets, concrete and steel shattering with every collision. Iron Man and Cyborg deployed energy traps and force fields, corralling villains into zones where the heroes' strikes would be most effective.

In the skies above, Wonder Woman led Valkyrie's squad, slicing through Hela's undead minions with surgical precision. Storm channeled thunderstorms to disrupt enemy formations, arcs of lightning colliding with Darkseid's energy blasts in explosive flashes.

Even Loki, perched on a crumbling skyscraper, grinned as his illusions added another layer of confusion, giving the heroes unexpected openings. Deadpool, unpredictable as ever, darted through the battlefield, cutting through Parademons with maniacal glee—chaos himself acting as a weapon.

By nightfall, the heroes' combined speed and strategy had begun to turn the tide. Though the rift pulsed violently above and the villains remained relentless, the first glimmers of coordinated victory were clear: when brains and brawn moved as one, even the most overwhelming enemy could be challenged.
