The Overpowered Transcendent

Chapter 0: A New Beginning

Long before the very concept of creation took form, when the cosmos was still an unfathomable void, there existed four transcendent beings, each unique in their essence and power. These entities occupied distinct realms, each carving out a space where their influence reigned supreme. As time flowed in a way that was incomprehensible to mere mortals, these beings, once content to exist within the boundaries of their own dominions, began to encroach upon one another's territories. What followed was an escalating series of confrontations that spiraled into a cataclysmic conflict, turning their once tranquil existence into a battleground of chaos and destruction. With each clash, the very fabric of reality trembled and splintered under the weight of their wrath. Cosmic energies collided, causing ripples that reverberated throughout the universe, even halting the passage of time itself while they engaged in their brutal war. The devastation left in their wake was unlike anything ever witnessed; it is now referred to as The End, an event that lingered in the annals of history, shrouded in mystery. Then, as suddenly as it had begun, the conflict came to an abrupt halt. The four transcendent beings vanished without a trace, leaving behind a void filled with silence and bewilderment. The world that remained was riddled with questions that echoed through the ages. What brought about their disappearance? Was it a divine intervention from a higher power, or did something sinister and darker unfold in the shadows, ensuring their silence?

Fast forward a millennium since that harrowing dark age: a thousand years have passed, yet humanity's civilizations struggle to piece themselves back together. The echoes of that distant past still resonate, imbuing the world with a sense of urgency and a thirst for knowledge about the true nature of those transcendent beings.

As I stir from my restless slumber, the persistent beeping of my alarm clock jolts me into a state of panic. "Oh no, I can't believe I almost forgot, today is my first day of school!" My heart races as I spring into action, desperately trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.

What kind of student would I be if I were late? The thought rushes through my mind like a bolt of lightning.

In a flurry, I begin my daily routine. I dash to the bathroom, splash my face with cold water to awaken my senses, and brush my teeth in a hasty manner. My fingers fumble as I pull on my school uniform: a crisp white shirt, a navy blazer adorned with the insignia of my prestigious school, and tailored trousers. Feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety, I quickly grab my backpack and rush out the door, the sun casting a warm glow over the morning.

As I step outside, I can't help but think let's hope I'm not late. I quicken my pace, my mind racing with thoughts of the day ahead. The Chōetsushagasumugakkō, a renowned institution that hones the skills of promising students, is widely recognized for its ability to transform them into formidable knights. The school is legendary, famed not just for its rigorous curriculum but for its incredible success rate in preparing its graduates to combat the looming threat of dark forces that seek to invade our world.

I skip down the street, the excitement of attending such a remarkable place filling me with determination. But as I approach the school gates, an uneasy feeling washes over me.

Suddenly, I push the door open and am met with an unexpected sight. A figure steps out from the shadows, a mysterious man cloaked in a dark hood that obscures his face.

"Come on, rookie," he taunts, motioning with a casual flick of his wrist as if to provoke me. "What's wrong? Scared?" His grin is unsettling, hinting at malice.

I shake my head in an attempt to steady my nerves. "No, that's not it. It's just that fighting on school grounds is prohibited."

The man's grin widens, revealing an arrogance that makes my skin crawl. "You and your little rules. Man up and fight me, or I swear I'll murder everyone in here!"

I let out a resigned sigh, remaining calm despite the rising tension. "This isn't about proving my courage. It's about how utterly unnecessary this is."

A sinister glint ignites in his eyes as he leans forward. "If you won't fight me, I'll make you." In one swift motion, he draws a pitch-black blade, its surface glistening ominously in the light. "Hope you said your prayers, then."

Annoyed by the situation, I reply, "How troublesome. Fine, then come at me!"

Without warning, the hooded figure lunges toward me, swinging his blade with malicious intent aimed at my legs. "With pleasure!" he shouts, reveling in the thrill of the fight.

I catch his blade mid-swing, maintaining my composure. "Nice try," I reply coolly.

But his eyes narrow in frustration, and with a swiftness that catches me off guard, he channels dark magic through his weapon, slashing in a brutal arc that severs my arm.

My eyes widen in shock as pain surges through me, what a pain... I cough up blood, feeling my strength ebb away as I collapse to the ground, the world around me blurring.
