On a street somewhere in Nagazora, hordes of zombies formed by Honkai Energy infection wandered aimlessly through the deserted city.
Suddenly, a series of gunshots rang out, and two girls sped through the zombie swarm.
The white-haired girl held a pistol in each hand, occasionally raising them to fire. The bullets traced ripples in the air, accurately embedding themselves in the heads of the zombies in front of them. "If you're already dead, then stay out of the way!" the white-haired girl said impatiently as she fired.
The black-haired girl also carried a rifle, occasionally firing to provide support for the white-haired girl.
A massive figure suddenly landed heavily behind the girls. Its immense weight smashed a large crater in the ground, and the resulting shockwave nearly knocked the girls off their feet.
The girls spun around, their guns all pointing at the massive body of the Chariot-class Honkai Beast. A torrent of bullets rained down on the Honkai Beast's body, but they were all deflected by its hard, white shell.
"Our weapons aren't working on it!" Mei shouted to Kiana.
"This is getting old! This pervert keeps chasing after girls!" Kiana said through gritted teeth.
At that moment, a white shadow rushed out from a nearby alley. It was a boy in a white T-shirt. He pushed off the ground forcefully, his agile body soaring into the air. He ricocheted between the Honkai Beast's arm and a nearby building, finally launching himself towards the beast's head. The boy tightly gripped a tachi, its gleaming blade aimed squarely at the Honkai Beast's red eye. With a *squelch*, the blade sank completely into the beast's massive head.
"ROAR!" With a final, unwilling roar, the four-to-five-meter-tall body of the Honkai Beast crashed to the ground.
Standing on the Honkai Beast's corpse, Ming Yu looked down at Kiana and Mei below, a sense of pride and accomplishment welling up inside him. It was worth it to level up those two skills at the last minute. Come on, admire me, Ming Yu was already on the verge of showing off.
Suddenly, a cold voice from above commanded, "Project Bunny 19C." Below, Kiana and Mei also shouted, "Watch out!"
Ming Yu's heart sank. My luck can't be this bad, can it? He resignedly looked up, only to be greeted by the sight of Project Bunny's massive spear.
With a boom, Project Bunny's spear slammed into the Honkai Beast's corpse, and the resulting shockwave sent Ming Yu flying.
Crap, I forgot about Bronya, the camper who also wanted a heroic rescue, was the only thing Ming Yu had time to complain about before he lost consciousness.

"Is he okay? He doesn't look too badly hurt on the outside, but he coughed up so much blood. Could he have internal injuries?" a voice asked.
"It's all your fault, you useless pipsqueak! The Honkai Beast was already dealt with, but you had to interfere and randomly attack. Not only did you get him hurt, but you almost got me involved too," another voice said angrily.
"The Bronya is also very sorry, but I shifted the attack's position at the last moment. He should be fine," another voice said calmly. "Kiana's safety level is 0. The system judges that her life or death is not a concern."
When Ming Yu slowly opened his eyes, this was the scene he saw. "Ahem, I think... I can still be saved, ladies," Ming Yu said weakly. It seems he was accidentally injured by Bronya and even fainted. So much for being cool for more than three seconds.

Mei smiled apologetically and introduced herself to Ming Yu, "We've been talking for so long and haven't introduced ourselves. My name is Raiden Mei."
She paused and pointed to the white-haired girl beside her, "This is Kiana." "Remember, this lady's name is Kiana, Kiana Kaslana," the girl named Kiana added.
Finally, Mei pointed to the petite girl with spiral twin-tails, "And this is Bronya." "Bronya Zaychik," Bronya added expressionlessly.
"My name is Ming Yu, just a lucky survivor. I'm also planning to leave this city for now. I was wondering if I could join you?" Ming Yu paused and explained, "You've seen just now that I'm not completely powerless. I believe I won't slow you down."
Mei thought for a moment and then nodded in agreement, "An extra person means extra strength. Besides, you were injured because of us. We won't leave you behind."
Bronya didn't object either. It was Kiana who said casually, "Since you're injured, this lady will definitely protect you."
Ming Yu smiled inwardly at Kiana's promise but still put on a grateful expression, "Then I'll be counting on you, Miss Kiana."
Bronya immediately retorted, "Kiana's reliability is zero. The probability of her protecting Ming Yu is 0.000001%."
"You want a fight, pipsqueak!" Kiana yelled angrily.
Bronya, with the same calm expression, said, "The Bronya's probability of victory is 99.9999999%."
"Mine is 100%!" Kiana immediately retorted, flustered.
Watching this scene, Ming Yu smiled knowingly. So full of life!
Suddenly, Ming Yu noticed that the surrounding scenery was changing. He seemed to understand something in an instant, and his face turned red as he shouted, "Bronya, tell Project Bunny to put me down! I can walk on my own!"
"Is that so?" Bronya muttered and gave the command to Project Bunny.
Suddenly dropped, Ming Yu stumbled and nearly fell, quickly steadying himself. Feeling his body's condition, he knew that his unscientific recovery ability had kicked in again. Apart from a dull ache in his back, the rest of him was fine.
Kiana looked at Ming Yu's slightly staggering figure and advised, "Hey, are you sure you're okay? Don't push yourself!"
"I'm fine, my body is in great shape, no problem," Ming Yu said, waving his hand.
Seeing Ming Yu's insistence, Kiana didn't press him further.
Mei watched Ming Yu's performance, a trace of doubt flashing in her mind. What a strange person. He doesn't seem to be a stranger to us, yet I've never seen him before. His approach feels as if it were planned. Does he have some kind of motive?
Thinking of this, Mei shook her head. Probably not. At least for now, he should be a companion.
