St. Freya High School, Principal's Office.
Himeko walked in, rubbing her shoulder and constantly complaining, "Seriously, it's been three days, and my whole body still hurts like it's about to split open!"
"You used the Nexus System while it was still in development and pushed it to maximum output to block the Herrscher's attack. You should be thanking God you're not lying in a hospital bed, seriously injured!" a voice snapped back, exasperated. "You're always so reckless, you bombshell!"
Only then did Himeko look with surprise at the petite figure almost completely hidden by the office desk, calling out teasingly, "Ah! Principal, you were here! You're so tiny and cute, I almost didn't see you~
Theresa immediately retorted, infuriated, "Shut up! Where's the report?!"
Himeko slowly and deliberately took out a USB-like object, explaining, "To prevent it from being discovered by others in the organization, I naturally had to hide the data in the safest place~
Theresa's heart sank. She slammed her hands on the desk, exasperated, and shouted, "Enough! Just give it to me!"
Taking the USB drive from Himeko.
Theresa began to review the data while instructing, "Now then, report what happened at the end of that night, Major."
Upon hearing this, Himeko was once again reminded of that night three days ago.
The surging torrent of lightning clashed with Himeko's greatsword, the bifurcated electricity flashing with a blinding light.
A system warning blared in Himeko's ear: "Warning! Nuclear fusion reactor overheating! Forcing shutdown in 10 seconds!"
"Shut up! Do not shut down! Hold on!" Himeko commanded rudely, gripping the greatsword in her hands tightly.
"I have to commend you for lasting this long. However, you're just a tiny bit stronger than the other trash," the Herrscher of Thunder said casually. "I'm getting a little bored now. Disappear for me, trash!"
Just as the battle was reaching its climax, Kiana climbed to the roof of a nearby building and shouted at the Herrscher of Thunder, "Mei, stop!"
"Give me back my Mei!" Kiana yelled as she leaped with all her might towards the airborne Herrscher of Thunder.
Perhaps because she was maintaining her attack on Himeko, or perhaps she was too stunned by Kiana's action, the Herrscher of Thunder didn't avoid the approaching Kiana.
Kiana grabbed the Herrscher's shoulder with one hand and reached for her wing with the other.
Watching Kiana's actions, the Herrscher of Thunder made no move to dodge, saying contemptuously, "What do you think you're doing to me?! You think you can tear off a god's wing with a mere mortal body?"
Kiana endured the intense impact of the Honkai Energy and said with determination, "Give... Mei... back!"
Due to the extreme effort, Kiana's hand trembled slightly. Where her palm touched the wing, large amounts of purple Honkai Energy dissipated, and small cracks began to appear on the wing itself.
Sensing her power draining away, the Herrscher of Thunder said in shock and fear, "Wait! How is this possible! How can a human hand destroy the wing of a god?!"
With a great roar, Kiana grabbed the wing with her right hand and tore with all her might. With a "BANG," the translucent, lightning-wreathed wing shattered, turning into fragments that dissipated into the air.
"To be defeated by you twice... remember this, Kiana. I'll be back!" the Herrscher of Thunder said one last thing to the unconscious girl in her arms before slowly closing her eyes. The massive amount of dissipating Honkai Energy formed a transparent shield, supporting the two unconscious girls as they descended to the ground.
"In the end, she was the one who stopped the Herrscher. Kiana Kaslana," Himeko said as she sat down on the sofa. "It's truly strange. Didn't the people in the science department say that the human body can't come into contact with Honkai Energy? Let alone using one's body to directly destroy a wing made of condensed, high-concentration Honkai Energy!"
"Because she's no ordinary person," Theresa said faintly.
"Kiana... To think I'd see you again after so many years... I suppose the people of the Kaslana family are all cursed with an unbreakable, ill-fated bond with the Honkai?" Theresa whispered, looking at Kiana's photo in the file.
"Huh?!" Himeko hadn't quite processed that.
Theresa didn't explain, instead moving on to the next file. "Raiden Mei. The Third Herrscher is such a young girl? Wait... She's the young lady of ME Corp?!" Theresa was somewhat surprised.
"You were shocked too, right? The organization behind ME Corp has always been our Schicksal's greatest rival. For their young lady to become a Herrscher, and for Anti-Entropy's forces not to mobilize to capture her... it's just unbelievable, no matter how you think about it."
"Regarding this matter, I've already arranged for the intelligence department to investigate Raiden Mei and her father," Theresa said, then moved on to the last file.
"Hmm?" Theresa stared blankly at Ming Yu's completely empty file. It only listed his name and gender; everything else was unknown. His personal history was a complete blank. "What's the deal with this person?"
"You're surprised too, right?" Himeko showed a knowing smile. "Whenever a person goes anywhere, they inevitably leave traces. But this person is like he appeared out of thin air. We can't find any proof of his prior existence. It's as if he fell from the sky."
"We'll put this aside for now. These are all the survivors from Nagazora, right?" Theresa shook her head and asked.
Himeko nodded. "That's right, just them. No other survivors were found."
Meanwhile, in the Hyperion's hangar, the patrolling adjutant looked helplessly at Bronya, who was curled up in a corner hugging a HOMU doll. *Why is there something like this on the warship?* the adjutant grumbled internally, adjusting his glasses.
In the Principal's office, Theresa tapped her index finger on the desk and said in an unquestionable tone, "Now then, regarding the disposition of these three, we will proceed as I've just said."
Himeko stood up and sighed. "As ruthless as ever. But I suppose it's necessary to survive in this era."
Theresa looked at Himeko and advised with some concern, "Major! Don't use the Nexus again. The damage it does to the user's body is too great. The medical department said... the time you have left isn't much..."
Himeko opened the door and said nonchalantly, "Don't worry, I know my own body best. I won't die until I find 'him'."
After Himeko left, Theresa turned on the display on her desk. The connected satellite monitor showed an image of Yae Sakura walking through the ruins. Looking at the figure on the screen, Theresa's gaze was profound, her mind clearly scheming something.
