Chapter 1 - A New Start

It was nothing but a blank everlasting void. Until a voice spoke.

"What if... I could create a game where you could sink so deep into it... It becomes your new reality."

This voice pulsed endlessly inside nothing but a blank canvas. Yet, as if a waterfall, thoughts began to flood violently.

"That voice... I recognise it... But from where?" Again, again, and again, pulses arose as if a sour everlasting migraine

"Wait... I remember now..."

"That voice..."

"Its mine!"

Like a rubber band slamming against your wrist, everything faded in a blink.

...

Orion felt something. Feet. Hands. His mouth. Senses seemed to takeover. He instinctively peeled back his eyes, yet the view in front of him was an unfamiliar one. A woman who seemed to be in her 20's looked down on him, with kind hazel-lit eyes and light brown hair knotted in a ponytail like smooth silk. Next to her was a man, with a face any woman would die over. His hair was messy, yet short, and light brown with a few grey strands poking out. His eyes were gentle, and a grin was printed all over his face.

"L-look honey... His eyes... His hair... Could it be?" Spoke the man, his voice stuttered from thrill.

"You're right..." Replied the woman, her voice shaky.

"Hang on? Who the hell are these people?" Pondered Orion.

"And why the hell can't I move?"

He soon learnt the answer to his question as he shifted his gaze to his body.

"W-what the hell!? Am I a BABY!?"

"And what's with the people staring at me?! AND WHY THE HELL ARE THEY DRESSED IN MEDIEVAL ATTIRE!"

For some reason, he couldn't help but burst into floods of tears.

"Am... I crying? I must really be a baby... So does that mean I perhaps transmigrated into a new realm? A new world?"

Both of the people staring down at him couldn't help but consume themselves with laughter.

"There's our baby boy! I was starting to get worried he wouldn't cry.." spoke the woman cheerfully.

"Haha! I can already tell! This boy'll be a genius!" Exclaimed the man.

"We'll name him... Orion!"

...

Weeks, and months went by as Orion, with a perplexed mindset set out to understand how he came to such a place. From endlessly loosing control of his digestive system, to crying like a spoiled toddler, Orion felt utterly helpless.

Through the many times his mother carried him around, and his dad played with him, he began to understand the layout of his new house. It was true - he was no longer in the modern era he was familiar with.

...

A day like no-other; he woke up, cried for 5 minutes, before getting dressed and strutting around his new home on all fours.

"man... Being a baby stinks... All I do is crawl, crawl, CRAWL! Gah! I had always dreamed of living another life... A new one, where I could cast spells, go on missions, and create my very own harem! That's exactly why I created a top-notch game in my old life... A game so complex that each life would be completely different from the next! I created such an advanced AI not even I could understand the complex nature of the characters I created. Too bad I was the only one to try it out... But it's whatever, I built that game to escape reality, and look at me now! I'm in a whole other world! Why the hell should I care if I never got to release my game!"

His thoughts got cut instantly, as he felt his body levitate. As he looked up confused, someone was holding him. And it wasn't one of the two people he knew in his life. Someone he had never seen before... She had long, curly brown hair and seemed barely older than his parents...

"So it's true..." The woman spoke, her voice raspy.

"IT MUST BE! HE'S THE GIFTED ONE!" She exclaimed with joy.

"You really think so?" Spoke his mother, glancing towards the mystery woman.

"I mean... The first time I saw his hair and his eyes, I truly did think so too. But, he hasn't done anything that would prove so..."

"No, no! You can't simply put this to one side! It must be him! No one in centuries has ever been seen with such distinct features... You must realise! This is god's work!" The woman with the raspy voice eagerly shouted.

"I reallyyy don't like this person! Whoever you are, PLEASE PUT ME DOWN!" Exclaimed Orion with expostulation, yet after all he attempted to say, the only thing that could match his emotions were squeals followed by tears.

The woman lashed backwards from the sudden screams, and quickly placed him onto his mothers arms.

"I-I'm sure in due time, he'll do something so extraordinary, it'll be obvious he's the one!" Stuttered the woman, clearly shaken from Orion.

"Right... Well, you best be off Cinthia, I should probably get him something to eat..." Spoke Orion's mother, clearly not eager to have her around.

"Ahhh Cinthia is your name? Well, I'm not sure who you are, or what you meant by 'I'm the gifted one', but you BETTER leave me and my mother alone! Heh." Thought Orion.

As Cinthia finally stepped out their house, Orion's mother plunged into a deep sigh.

"Okay sweetie, we better get you some food... You must eat well, after all I'm sure your father will want a strong young man to takeover his farm one day... Isn't that rigghtt? Big strong man!" She said, her cheeks scrunched together, while speaking in an annoying tone as if complimenting a dog.

"Farm?! That's the first I'm hearing about this! Hmmm... That must be where my father goes to work everyday."

...

After being fed, Orion was left to crawl around endlessly once again. Yet, only this time there was a topic in the forefront of his mind...

"The hell was that... Cinthia woman on about? With the whole gifted thing... Gifted... Hair... And eyes..."

Something snapped.

In a flash he began to scurry along the hard wooden floor towards their kitchen, that is conjoint with their living room.

"The last time I playtested my game I made my character have White hair and golden eyes... This exact combination of colours are what I made people in the Esteria Kingdom believe to be their god's signature colours... Colours so vibrant, and distinct that if someone who is born with white hair and golden eyes, it must simply be a gift sent from god. Hence the name 'the gifted one'. I assume people in this kingdom would take that as someone becoming their saviour... Yet, I never got to test that for myself... Seeing I ended up here before I could. So could it be possible that I didn't end up in some random rag-tag fantasy world, but actually the one I created?!"

He finally arrived at his destination. He shifted an already open cupboard with all his might, finally coming a cross a battered silver pot. As he pulled it out with all his weight, he tumbled over, crashing the pot against the floor, that radiated a large vibration across the house. Yet, he had no time to buckle down and cry, as he rushed over to it on all fours, before flipping it over onto its base. As he peered into his reflection off of the silver pot - he finally saw it.

...

"My eyes... My hair..."

Infront of him was the character he had created before he transmigrated... With golden eyes, and white hair.

"So it's true... I ended up in my own game?!"
