Alice chuckled softly before saying
"I'm glad you were able to feed though, even though I'm still angry that you hid this from me" his face paled at the mention of feeding.
"I was scared you'd be afraid. I didn't want to lose you by revealing my secret. And... I thought I could control it better without revealing myself ".
"Well you failed" those three words seemed to hit him hard as he looked at his hands.
"I know, I should have been stronger. But the taste... It's different when it comes to someone you care about " her heart did a backflip at the mention of him caring about her, because she had had a huge crush on him since they were little, she was so happy but she managed to mask the emotions to ask him again to be sure.
"You care about me?" After the question, his eyes darted up to meet hers, there was a mixture of guilt and affection.
"More than you know, you are the only human I've ever cared for this deeply".
"Wow thanks" she said blushing slightly.
"I should have told you sooner. I was selfish and scared of losing you. I'll do whatever it takes to make this up to you". He said, after hesitating for a few seconds, raising a brow she asked.
"Are you sure?" He nodded firmly and his voice was resolute.
"Positive, I will stay away from you for a while, let you heal, but I will be right here when you are ready to talk about all this".
"Sure" he took a step back giving her space
"Take care of yourself, I'll be back at the same spot tomorrow night, If you want to see me"
"Mm, bye" he hesitated, torn between leaving and staying.
