Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Man!

[Sato Kazuma: Wah wah wah! Save me!]

[Tip: Sato Kazuma has died and will revive in 3 minutes.]

"Man!"

Keli chuckled as he looked at the message prompt in front of him.

Heh! You thought you could escape to another world and have a harem with several beautiful girls, only to end up a virgin, didn't you?

Time to pop the champagne!

Just then, a group of people suddenly descended from the riverbank.

There were quite a few of them, perhaps a dozen or so, and they all looked menacing. Some held metal baseball bats or other weapons that wouldn't be flagged by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, and they silently fanned out to surround them.

With such a large commotion, the people by the river naturally noticed. They vigilantly stood up, and some immediately went into their tents to rummage for tools, pulling out things like steel pipes and screwdrivers.

"What do you want? This is Tokyo!"

The homeless man who had helped Keli drive away Endō earlier stood at the front, holding a screwdriver, breathing heavily and nervously asking.

For the homeless people in front of them, the current situation was beyond common sense.

If it were just a single person, it would be fine, but there were almost ten of them, and this was the sleepless city of Tokyo. Even in a relatively remote area, there shouldn't be people kidnapping others in the street late at night.

Moreover, even though they didn't get along with that guy Endō, it was definitely not to the extent that such retaliation was necessary.

The leading man in sunglasses said nothing, just waved his hand, and his subordinates quickly surrounded them.

"This is Tokyo, and no one cares about you social trash. On the contrary, Mrs. Sato around here will be happy if you disappear.

The residents of the nearby community will also thank you for not affecting their housing prices. If you don't want to suffer, then come with us obediently!"

Kondō, who had been driven away earlier, now had a completely different look on his face, tapping the crowbar in his hand as he approached.

The surname Sato is so common in Japan, like Pikachu by the roadside in the Pokémon world, so Mrs. Satoand Mrs. Watanabe are used to refer to housewives.

"Bastards!" Although they didn't understand the situation, leaving with the other party was impossible under these circumstances. So the homeless people immediately shouted, trying to attract the attention of any potential passersby, while also picking up their weapons to resist.

"Old man, stop talking nonsense."

A man dressed in a suit, just like Kondō, immediately swung a metal rod at the leading homeless man, producing a heavy thud.

If one were to statistically analyze the reasons for becoming homeless, family issues account for more than bankruptcy, and most are middle-aged or elderly. Years of hardship might give them some strength, but their physical condition is definitely not strong. The group Kondō brought was clearly experienced in armed brawls, and several people were quickly knocked to the ground.

"Quick! Find a way to leave!" The leading homeless man realized the situation was bad. After falling, he covered his bleeding head with both hands and shouted. He knew that if all of them were caught, it would be over.

"Leave? Heh! There's nowhere for you to go here."

Endō kicked the fallen homeless man hard, a look of disdain on his face.

Just then, a shout suddenly came from the campsite.

"Don't you know, Heaven never seals off all the exits? If I want to leave, the path is..."

What... what happened?

Endō looked up and saw the kid he had almost dragged away earlier.

Keli stood righteously in front of everyone, hands clasped behind his back.

Seeing this young man so confident in front of so many people, the leading man in sunglasses frowned.

Damn it! Did we just kick an iron plate? I heard that years ago, a biker gang of about 50 people went looking for trouble with a kid named Hanma Baki, and the next day, they were all hanging on the walls and trees of nearby streets.

Could this kid in front of me also be one of those strongmen who frequent the Kengan Association and underground fighting arenas when they have nothing to do?

Before they could react, Keli withdrew his hands from behind his back, and then, in a Cheng Taro-can't-save-Jolyne-style, he splashed the scalding instant noodle soup onto Kondō and his group.

"Wah ah!"

"Gah ah!"

The boiling steam, more visible at night, rose into the air. The hot water, mixed with the ingredients of the Cup Noodles Classic Tonkotsu flavor packet, made a "sizzle!" sound upon contact with people's skin.

The group of muscular men holding weapons instantly let out screams of pain.

"Not good! Watch your defense!" However, being experienced in brawls, the leading man in sunglasses endured the heat radiating through his clothes and tried to call his team to defend.

But it was useless! At this moment! Keli had already sneered and unleashed the optimal martial art for fighting outnumbered.

Keli charged into the weaker part of their encirclement, lifted both legs, and raised his phone!

"Kachi doki! Naku no na i!" A passionate song blared from his phone.

At the same time, Keli raised a beer bottle and smashed it on someone's head. As the bottle shattered, Keli was left with only half a bottle, its sharp glass exposed.

The next moment! Keli sprinted away with all his might!

Nigerunda yo!

Without a doubt! This was the optimal solution for fighting outnumbered!

The group of people, who were still holding up their weapons and enduring the pain to avoid falling and being attacked, froze.

"Yaro! You guys, get in the cars and chase him!"

The leader immediately shouted, leaving some people to continue capturing the homeless and sending another group to chase Keli, as that kid had a phone on him.

Keli didn't choose to run on the riverbank because that would put him directly into the cars' domain. Keliwasn't familiar with the terrain nearby and didn't want to play hide-and-seek in alleys, so his first priority was naturally the riverbed.

However, the other party's actions were also unexpected. Several burly men didn't immediately pursue Keli; instead, one of them took out a high-beam flashlight and illuminated Keli's position, while the others rushed up the riverbank.

"Vroom!"

Soon, Keli heard the sound of a car engine. Headlights sped across the grass on the riverbank; the other party had actually driven a car directly down onto the riverbank.

This made Keli feel very strange. What the hell, was this Tokyo or Yharnam? He even seemed to see people over there starting to assemble riot forks?

Damn it, he could just walk anywhere and encounter a battle, but why were they all so well-prepared and decisive? Aside from not pulling out guns, this wasn't Japanese yakuza; this was a full-blown early triangular trade slave-catching team, coming here to capture homeless people like they were black people.

If all the yakuza in Tokyo had this level of execution, then the citizens should have long since jointly petitioned Tsuchimikado-酱 to invite Batman to punish evil.

Watching Keli rush towards the riverbed, the people chasing in the cars also drove their vehicles into the riverbed without hesitation, letting the wheels kick up a spray of grass and dust.

Keli ran while looking left and right, hoping to find a stone to cosplay as a rock-throwing goblin and give the drivers of the two cars behind him a big surprise.

If the glass was brittle enough, their charging speed combined with his throw could create a very good effect.

In Africa, this is a very common roadside robbery method: attacking the driver with stones, then letting the vehicle crash or whatever, and finally collecting unexploded supplies from the wreckage.

Keli was completely unconcerned about whether it might cause the other party's death; his main concern was whether the car windows were bulletproof.

Just as Keli was looking for a mysterious little tool, his peripheral vision suddenly noticed that the progress bar he had been watching below seemed to be almost complete.

[Sato Kazuma awaiting resurrection... 3... 2... 1.]

[Sato Kazuma has revived at the bonfire]

Keli ran while widening his eyes, looking around him. As a flame-like light appeared, a bewildered brown-haired male high school student wearing a white funeral suit appeared there.

Sato Kazuma, who suddenly found himself here, opened his mouth in surprise.

"What the hell?"

But as he stood there in a daze, he noticed the cars chasing from behind.

His face immediately changed. A normal person would surely have frozen, but he forcefully discarded all thoughts from his mind, suddenly lifted his legs, and sprinted, catching up to Keli.

"What's going on?! And are you that Keli?"

Against the strong wind from running, Sato Kazumapanted heavily, trying to raise his voice so Keli could hear him.

"It's me."

Keli suddenly slowed his pace as he ran.

Sato Kazuma, surprised, also made a sudden stop on the riverbank, kicking up some stones, and looked at Keli.

"Why aren't you running anymore?"

"No, I realized that thing wasn't my hallucination after all..."

As he spoke, Keli raised his hand. The clouds covering the moon in the sky happened to shift slightly, and the moonlight reflected on the clouds, creating a rainbow-colored halo when viewed by the human eye. On Keli's raised palm, a wound Keli had made with glass shards after Kazuma appeared was healing at a visible speed.

Keli turned his head, looking at Sato Kazuma with a Shinbō-style 45° bow.

"I realized, it seems we're not the ones who should be running."
