After everyone finished eating the pigeons Timmie raised, they all gave them rave reviews. The pigeon meat was a rare delicacy indeed.
"Tiamat… bringing an existence like that here is exactly why the people on Celestia would be speechless."
Alice studied Tiamat. She had heard of this Mother Goddess of Creation from the Type-Moon world. Bringing her to Teyvat was practically a dimensionality reduction strike.
"Teyvat has a 'Ti' and a 'te,' and Tiamat also has a 'Ti' and a 'te,' so isn't it perfectly normal for Tiamat to come to Teyvat?" Koji said, making things up on the spot.
Alice rolled her eyes at that explanation.
"By that logic, both men and women have the word 'person' in them, so men can go into the ladies' restroom and women's bathhouse too?"
That was pure shameless nonsense. With that kind of explanation, even peeping could be made to sound justified.
"There's actually an explanation like that?" Stelle said, looking enlightened. "I've learned something new."
"Hey, don't learn weird stuff like that!" March 7th complained.
That kind of logic obviously did not work. Learning something like that… what exactly was Stelle planning to do with it?
"Wait, Tiamat?" Welt froze when he heard that very familiar name, shock appearing on his face.
"What is it, Mr. Welt?" Sunday asked.
"In my homeland, there are myths and legends about Tiamat," Welt said slowly after taking a deep breath.
Koji only smiled without saying anything. Earth really was the center of countless worlds, so it was perfectly normal for Welt to know.
"Oh? Welt, tell us," Himeko said curiously.
Welt thought for a moment, then said, "Tiamat is a creator deity in Mesopotamian mythology, the embodiment of the primordial sea and chaos. Her name means 'ocean,' and she represents the world's original, unordered, chaotic embryonic waters."
"In the creation epic, she is the Mother Goddess of Creation, one of the universe's earliest existences. It would not be wrong to say that all gods are her descendants."
March 7th said in amazement, "That's incredible. She's existed since the very beginning of the universe?"
How could anyone not be shocked by a lifespan like that? No matter what universe it was, that was unimaginably ancient.
But Uncle Yang's homeland sounded even more outrageous. After all, it actually had legends like this recorded. They had never heard of anything like that out in the cosmos.
"So Tiamat really has that deep a connection to your world, Mr. Yang?"
Welt gave a helpless laugh. Even Aeons would probably seem powerless in front of Tiamat.
"This Tia-mama isn't the Tiamat you know. She's just a Tiamat from a parallel world. Her strength is only so-so. She just has immortality, governs the Principle of Regression, inherently denies life and growth, rejects existence itself, and has conceptual defenses…" Koji said.
Welt and the others: "…"
And he called that only so-so?
No one present was likely capable of defeating her. Immortality alone was already absurd enough.
And with that whole chain of titles attached to her, she did not even sound like something that belonged on the same star chart as them.
Just hearing about her made it feel like she was utterly invincible.
"Tia-mama, are you short on children?" Stelle shamelessly asked without even blinking.
A mother this powerful? She was completely sold.
If she could recognize Tiamat as her mom, then she could strut sideways for the rest of her life.
The corners of Welt and the others' mouths twitched. Her absurdity really had no lower limit. Who in their right mind would walk straight up to Tia-mama and ask to be adopted?
"Aaaaaa—? (You want to be my child?)"
Tiamat looked at Stelle in puzzlement. She had no particular connection to Stelle, yet Stelle was eagerly volunteering to become her child.
Even so, she did not refuse. She did not mind having Stelle as her child.
"What did Tia-mama say?" Stelle asked, completely lost. She could not understand Tiamat's language.
"Tia-mama said: Do you want to be her little one?" Koji translated. Tiamat never rejected children.
From the time Kafka brought Stelle into the world up to now, only a few years had passed. That meant Stelle was really only a few years old, so she definitely counted as a child.
"Yes, absolutely yes! From now on, Tia-mama, you're my mother."
The moment she heard Koji's translation, Stelle nodded so fast she could barely contain herself. She practically wanted to kneel down and kowtow on the spot just to complete the full adoption ritual.
"Aaaa. (Good child.)"
"What kind of power is this?" Stelle asked curiously as she felt a warm current spread from the top of her head through her entire body. She knew immediately that this was something good.
"It's Tiamat's blessing. She granted you part of her immortal and undying qualities. In practical terms, that means a few thousand years of lifespan with no side effects, and ordinary injuries will heal quickly."
Koji was extremely sensitive to blessing-type powers, so he identified the effect of Tiamat's blessing at once.
Tia-mama really was generous. She had casually given Stelle this kind of power. Calling her Mom had definitely not been for nothing.
Stelle would probably live a long time anyway, but who would ever complain about getting even more life?
And with those partial undying properties, if she got banged up in the future, she would not have to worry about wounds healing too slowly or bleeding endlessly.
Until the day she could achieve immortality through her own power, this kind of gift was unquestionably precious.
Dan Heng revealed a look of surprise and emotion.
The long life of the Xianzhou people usually lasted only a few centuries, and then came side effects like Mara-Struck. Yet the blessing Tiamat casually gave away lasted for thousands of years and did not even have any side effects.
This kind of blessing was practically a higher form of Abundance.
No wonder she was the Mother Goddess of Creation Mr. Welt had mentioned. With such ease, she had bestowed something countless people could only dream of.
"It won't have any effect on Lady Tiamat herself, right?" Himeko asked.
She was stunned by such a grand gesture, but concern still came first.
"Aaaaa— (I'm fine.)" Tiamat shook her head.
A blessing of this level was as effortless to her as breathing. It would not affect her in the slightest.
"Tia-mama says she's fine," Koji translated.
"If the people chasing immortality ever learned Tiamat had power like this, they'd probably come swarming in droves," Stelle thought to herself.
She knew that better than anyone. There were far too many people who desired immortality, people who would pay any price for it, even abandon their own families. Greed had no end.
"Even if they knew, if they actually dared to set their sights on Tiamat, they could go reflect in the Sea of Chaos," Koji said.
Tiamat was no ordinary goddess. She was the Mother Goddess of Creation. Her divine standing was terrifyingly high.
Aeons had no need to seek immortality, since lifespan meant nothing to them. But even Emanators would be like ants in front of Tiamat, utterly incapable of doing anything.
"This Lady Tiamat's strength must be incomparably overwhelming. Unless someone has a death wish, trying to make trouble for her would be pure insanity," Welt said in agreement.
He had read the myths about Tiamat. He knew exactly what kind of goddess she was.
