Adrian eyes slowly begin to open as he follows the voice "Guys he's waking up" One voice says "Thank god, I worried he got him too" A second voice adds with a sigh of relief as he finally begins to see the silhouette of a girl, after a moment his eyes finally adjust and he sees someone familiar. "Where?" he asked. "You had a massive shock, you've been unconscious for a while, and you're in the Gym next to the bathroom" The silhouette told him with a feminine voice which helped Adrian calm his heart rate and allowed him to see better "Kera?" Adrian uttered with a gasp before wetting his mouth "I'm Mindy, we're in the same maths class, you remember me" She tells him before pulling him up onto her knees and gave him a hug around his neck. "Such a soft soul, having such a thing happen to them" She whispers into his ear holding him even tighter "She's still unresponsive, but I hear a heartbeat still" A voice Adrian recognizes utters "She's still holding out, incredible" A second voice says similar to the first "After that much blood lost" A third voice utters "Mindy he's awake right?" The third voice asks as they come in Adrian's view "Emily" He utters causing Mindy to stop hugging him and prompt him up against her shoulder "Adrian, you see the guy who did this" Emily asked taking a knee and almost glare at him wanting him to answer "You can't just ask him like" Mindy tells Emily as she clutches Adrian's head into her stomach "Give him a minute he hasn't fully recovered yet" She adds scowling Emily "Plus he's probably to far away now, we'll catch, and the rest when we find them" An fourth rough voice utters behind him "I'll go check the ambulance is here, and keep the police back until she's gone" He adds before leaving as Mindy utters with sadness in her voice "This is just cruel" "Must be done" Emily adds before looking to the twins checking the body "Update" "Amazingly, she still breathing yet it weakening every breath, poor girl" Ieuan tells her soberly before taking the girls hand "Adrian, We're so sorry this happen to you, and her as well" Samuel says to Adrian soberly as well before grabbing his brothers shoulder as they mourn together, Adrian all the while struggles to understand the situation but the voice from his dream returns again compelling him to return to the fantasy "No" He utters in defiance using a newfound strength to pull himself up from Mindy's arm, his body shakes as he feels nothing but a pain in every joint as he moved grunts and letting out gasps of pain as he supports himself. "Oh my god,I'm so happy to see you" Adrian utters as Mindy begins crying and hugs Emily causing her to tear a little too, Kera smiles back her eyes full of tears and imagines everything from their first kiss, engagement, Wedding, first child and their last days together. "I have to tell you something …" As Adrian is about to confess Kera pulls herself over to Adrian scaring everyone, she kisses Adrian passionately on the lips causing them to forget where they are and their problems and for a moment they were in paradise.
Adrian opens his eyes and finds himself on a beach with a sunset illuminating the crisp water and warming the sand beneath his toes, confused yet comforted Adrian breathed in the warm air before saying to himself "Wow this place, where am I" "It's just a little place we can be together" Adrian look to see Kera standing down the beach wearing a pure white dress smiling at him and before he can think he begins running to her, upon reaching her he picks her up by her legs and swings her around causing her to look at him with shock and begins giggling. "Adrian your terrifying you are" She tells him as she continues to laugh and giggle "Sorry I, I just missed you so much" He tells her smiling and holding her close before stopping spinning her around and placing her down, he places his head against hers and the two enjoy the moment with each other before parting kissed one another "Oh Adrian" She says cheeks red and embarrassed "I hate myself for waiting so long" He told her stroking her cheeks making her blush more "I should have done something too" Kera adds placing her head against his chest and lets a sorrowful tear on to the long white shirt he wears similar to the one she wearing "Well let's not waste this opportunity" He tells her as he almost begins crying "Yeah, let's do everything we've wanted to do together" She adds before kissing him deeply the two locking lips and kissing with passion wrapping their arms around each other tightly, the two break for a moment to catch their breath and while doing so Kera grabs the bottom of her dress and goes to pull it up and off. "Wait, are you sure Kera" Adrian asks upon feeling her pull the dress up "I'm sure, I want this" She answers as she gently pushes Adrian's hands away and removes her dress showing her body to him, Adrian is shocked and isn't sure where to look and isn't even sure if he should and in a panic decides to turn around. "Oh my god, don't want to see me or something" Kera laughs placing her knuckles against her lips and looks him up and down "I, just was surprised and umm" Adrian answers stuttering and is tempted to look at her but having never seen a real girl naked and it being his childhood friend makes insanely difficult "I wanted this, but it's so fast and new" He adds as he lets his guard down and begins to turn to look at her but then Kera grabs his shirt and removes it before he can react "Uh, Kera what the hell" He yells almost angrily but then she hugs his now bear body wrapping her arms around his back and smiles happily and with relief in his voice tells him "I've wanted to feel this close to you since I fell for you, back in Secondary school I wanted to go with you to the prom, just you not me, you and Rollo, just you, I wanted to feel are naked bodies together afterward" Her words reminded him of that night how he and Rollo danced together for fun and remembered how he saw her smile, but as he remembering it again he could see she was miserable and he looked at her with guilt. He asked, seeing her skin begin to turn pale and feel her start to go cold "Kera, please tell me what's wrong?" He asked placing his other hand in hers and placing his head against her's "This place is temporary, the sun is setting, we don't have long" She told him stroking her thumb along his hand and look sorrowfully back as if she was apologising for ever being in his life "Kera, your scaring me" He tells her stroking her bare shoulder and lean forward towards her inches from her face "I don't want to leave but I have no choice" Kera begins crying causing Adrian to wrap his arms around her holding her tight and begins to understand but his heart won't "I, why" He shudders gripping her tighter and almost begins crying into her neck as a part of him resists the truth he will lose her soon "Why can't we go together" He asked his lip bubbling as he resist his sadness and pain "Because" She says pull him off her gently and gives him a sorrowful smile "You have things left to do, and a future so bright, like fire" She places her hand on his heart and feels the warmth coming from it "You are going to do great things my love, and I'll be watching" She walks pass him as Adrian remains in shock for a minute before regaining his awareness and turns to see Kera again in her white dress, Adrian stands and walks slowly towards her but upon the last bit of light leaving the world filling the world with cold dead air and endless desert. "Kera, this place is the end, isn't it?" He asked as he felt the cold dark aura filling the air around him, a bright warm light fall's from the sky and surrounds Kera causing her to sprout white bird-like wings causing her to resemble an angel. Adrian looks at her in shock and amazement as he finally understands "Your time has come, and I have stuff left on earth to do" He tells her before whipping away his tears before feeling Kera's now glowing and warm hands on his cheeks "Adrian, your future is filled with pain but also fire, fire that will burn away all the evil in the world" Adrian looks up at Kera who now is glowing a holy light "Fire" He asked as she places a hand on his chest "Two flames will guide you, two paths and it is up to you to choice which you will follow" Her angelic words confuse but burn into his soul causing his tear up as her hands to leave his face and Adrian reaches out to grab them only for him to pass though "Remember the fire, nothing can stop the fire that burns inside you, but only one you can follow" She tells him as she leaves the world into the point where the light began, Adrian drops to his knees and stares into empty hands with a mix of fear and sadness fill him but from the sky a tear hits his hand "I will always love" Kera tells him one more time returning him to reality.
"Kera" He screams his hand stretched out which is met by a hand he recognises "Holy fuck he's awake, you scared the life out of me Adrian" Adrian could tell who this voice was turning to see Rollo holding his hand with tears in his eyes "Oh my god, thank you for sparing him" He adds before hugging Adrian tightly almost to the point Adrian began to struggle to breathe "Told you, he was in no danger" Someone added before grabbing Rollo's shoulder and pulling off Adrian coughing as he regain his breath "You idiot, you almost strangled him" Some else adds causing Adrian to pull himself up and see Emily, Mindy and the twins before him "You okay Adrian" Mindy asked stroking his arm with a mournful smile "She's gone, isn't she?" He asked full of regret knowing the answer but not wishing to know "Yeah, she pass not long after you kiss" Emily answered looking down and giving a regretful look regretting having told him before turning and heading away "Em" Mindy utters before following after "Our condolence my guy, you need anything, come look for us" Samuel told him before he and Ieuan begin to leave as well and as they he can see Emily who looks almost to be crying "You Adrian Lewis" An ambulance doctor asked him Adrian and Rollo not noticing him "Umm yeah I am" He answers a little confused "One of your friend's said you were hurt" The doctor asked as Adrian confirmed all the while Emily, Mindy and the twins go to a corner away from the police and ambulance crews "It was my fault, I told him to look for her" Emily uttered trying to hide her tears "You couldn't of known" Samuel told her but his words ring hollow as she push pass him and leave the area "Em, please" Mindy cried out but to no avail Samuel grabbing her arm and took her into his arms "Give her time darling" "I've cleared up everything, the attack will be called an suicide" They are told by an old man in his late 40s with a brown beard is balding, he is wearing a white shirt with a tie and has his sleeves up to his elbows and wears black work trouser and shoes. Everyone looks at him coldly and Mindy walks up to him and utters "You're a real cold-hearted bastard, you know that" She glares at him for a moment before Samuel grabs her and guides away as tears fill her eyes "Forgive her Boss, she's just …" "I understand, we use the suicide excuse to often" He interrupts Ieuan "Some casualties are to mess up to be covered up with the S word excuse, our guys in the police need to think of something else" He add as he looks over to see Kera's covered body being wheeled into the ambulance "That's not the issue Boss" Ieuan utters give the Boss a serious look "We and you keep just letting people die, or straight up killing them because they saw too much" He adds before turning away and following after Mindy and Samuel "Naive, all of them" The Boss uttered while giving them a cold look from behind "What we do is not for the ones who die, it's for the ones we that still live"
