Chapter 1 - New World.

I blinked. How could I not, I was sitting on a throne in a field of what seemed to be golden wheat and corn, I could also feel something moving on my back and something heavy on my head.

It wasn't long before I realised it was a set of bright red wings and horns.

Hmm, well, this is certainly strange, I most definitely remember being a human named Kamdo, which I have to say was...a miserable person. "I'm in another world, it seems."

Yes, it seemed I had reincarnated like the protagonists from some novels and such, and I am some sort of demon, I guess.

So, knowing that am i not supposed to have a status screen or something?.

Title: Overlord of the Golden Field, Dragonoid from another world.

Hmm, I'm a Dragonoid. I let out a long breath, staring at the glowing letters floating in the air before me. Dragonoid… Overlord of the Golden Field? That sounded ridiculously pompous, but then again, I was literally sitting on a throne in a field of endless golden wheat. It wasn't like I could complain about aesthetics.

The wings twitched on my back, and the horns throbbed a little as though acknowledging the system's declaration.

"Overlord, huh? Doesn't that mean I rule this place?" I muttered aloud, glancing around. The field swayed with an eternal breeze, though there was no sun, no sky—just a warm golden light illuminating everything.

Unique Skill: Architect.

That name alone made me curious.

"Analyse: Architect."

A ripple ran through the words, and new text scrawled into existence:

[Architect]: The power to design, shape, and manifest structures, landscapes, and systems within your domain. Growth is tied to imagination, Kyro Value, and authority as an overlord.

My eyes widened. "So… I can literally build my own world?"

The Kyro Value caught my eye again—4.5. That was oddly specific.

"Analyse: Kyro Value."

[Kyro Value]: A numerical measure of dominion and existential presence. Determines how much authority you exert over your surroundings, followers, and the natural laws within your domain.

I leaned back against the throne. "So that's like… divinity points, then."

Well-being reincarnated as an Overlord wasn't what I was thinking but it was not bad and since I can create anything with the available natural laws I am granted i made a simple large mirror and I saw my appearance and damn, I looked different.

Majestic long orange hair and red eyes with blackened red horns and a face that would make many women on earth blush, I looked magnificent.

But I don't think that's amazing at all, it's because I'm a Dragonoid. I'm this handsome, anyway, the wings horns, and claws. Yes, claws are annoying, so I tried pushing them back into my body and was met with a bit of resistance but when I started to force through the resistance, the extra appendages disappeared and I got off my throne.

The golden field, to say the least, is beautiful, but I still don't know what its use is, so I use my skill.

"Appraise:Golden Field."

[The golden field is deemed as a production type domain, and all production type domains have at least one or two productions that are unique only to it, this domain is called the Golden Field where the production Golden wheat and corn are made, you as the Overlord of this domain can reveal it into the world or leave it in the space where it resides, you can also take the wheat and corn to sell or eat it, .]

"A production type...soooo that means I am a farmer of sorts, well since it's like that I should make some followers, my theme is Draganoid I should be able to create lizard-like farming and gathering followers."

But obviously, there was a problem with that. You can't simply create life, and by that, I mean I don't know how to do I need to be creative.

Yeah, I actually do, I have the architect skill, so I should be able to come up with something.

So first, I have to come up with a concept. In dungeon books, the dungeon master usually summons monsters through a type of energy or value, but I don't have such a thing, so I thought of another type of summoning, Magic summoning, using the land as the conduit, the world as the vessel, and magic as the driving force I should be able to create a building that summons workers.

It's like playing a tower defence game.

I began to do it by going into the ley lines of my domain and shifting the wheat and corn in the middle of the field in a large circular way. Then, I made a circular platform with three steps. Using the platform, I connect it with the leylines of my domain using them to create a magic symbol in the image of a golden dragon head.

I made ten pillars that surrounded the structure and then some stairs. After that, I shifted the crops and made a path towards my throne from the platform.

The platform has small steps for the followers to walk out of.

Now that I was done using the land as a conduit, I reached into the core of my domain and made a piece of it specifically the platform, as a vessel, and after making sure it was aligned perfectly.

I slumped onto my throne. That took some mental power to work through, and I was exhausted, I could actually fall asleep.

I leaned back on my throne, breathing heavily. My horns pulsed faintly, and my wings twitched in agitation as though they too had spent energy. The glowing golden dragon crest at the heart of the summoning platform shimmered with a quiet radiance, faintly humming with the leyline's power.

"Whew… so this is the cost of being an architect, huh? Drains you like hell." I muttered, pressing a hand to my temple. My MP had visibly dropped, a third of the total gone.

But it wasn't just wasted mana. No—something was happening.

The dragon crest pulsed once… twice… and then golden motes began to rise from the wheat and corn that surrounded the platform. The crops themselves bent forward like worshippers bowing, as if the entire domain acknowledged my command.

The motes gathered at the centre of the circle. They thickened, shaping into silhouettes—small, hunched, reptilian outlines. Their eyes opened like glowing amber jewels.

[Summoning Complete: Field Drakelings created.]

I sat up straight. "Drakelings?"

One of the creatures stepped forward. It was barely chest height to me, covered in golden-green scales, with short claws, stubby horns, and a vaguely humanoid build. It bowed, lowering its head until its snout nearly touched the ground.

"O—Overlord," it rasped in a deep but obedient tone. "We are yours. Command us."

A wave of satisfaction rippled through me. I didn't just make a structure—I created actual beings. Living, breathing followers who recognised me as their master.

The architect's skill shimmered faintly again in my mind, as if rewarding me with new knowledge:

[Followers created through Architect are bound to the domain. Their loyalty is absolute, their growth is tied to your Kyro Value. Number of followers currently sustainable: 10.]

"Ten, huh? So I made myself a little workforce," I chuckled, though my voice carried more pride than humour. "Guess I really am an Overlord now."

The Drakelings stood in a neat line, patiently awaiting orders. Their amber eyes gleamed with expectancy.

I rose from my throne, my long orange hair drifting in the golden light. My claws extended and retracted as I flexed my hand, the new power coursing through me.

"Very well," I said, my voice carrying with an authority I didn't quite recognise as my own. "Tend to the Golden Field. Harvest, replant, and protect it. This land will be the heart of my dominion."

"As you command, Overlord!" they chorused, scattering into the endless waves of golden wheat, already at work.

[A supreme being is asking permission to enter the Golden Field, Do you want to set some terms before you accept]

Now that is a surprise, and an ancient being took notice of my domain, and I could set some terms. There isn't a reason for me to reject, but there is a reason for me to add terms.

"Add these, All who enter the Golden Field shall not destroy it, All who enter the Golden Field shall not disrupt the workers, All who enter the Golden Field shall not take without the Overlord's permission and All who enter the Golden Field shall not attack the Overlord."

[The laws you have attuned with through Architect are sufficient to achieve these restrictions.]

[Here are the stats and preferences of this ancient being.]

Title: [Hidden]

Likes: Peace, Quiet and delicious, and new food.

Dislikes: Disruption, Evil Gods, Heroes, Demon Lords, and bitter food.

Nature: She is childish but wise and her human form looks young.

"An Empress of the Sun?" I whistled. "A level 989 Supreme Phoenix at that? And here I thought being a level 1 Overlord was impressive."

My mind raced. A being of that calibre was a walking natural disaster, even with her stats halved and weakened. I glanced at my own pitiful level and stats. Her Strength alone was more than my Magical Power, and her HP was in the millions. She could swat me like a fly, my new domain and all. But the system had let her in, and my rules were still in place. That meant something. Either my Kyro Value gave me more authority than I realised, or she was willing to respect my authority.

The glowing text shimmered, and another prompt appeared.

[Supreme Phoenix Driatus is approaching. Due to your domain's protection, she cannot bring her true power to bear against you. Her power is restricted to yours (Level 100). The Golden Field is a nexus of natural law, and only those with high Kyro Value can affect its core laws. Would you like to accept her presence and observe the first supreme being to enter your domain?]

My mouth dropped open. Level 100? So I wasn't completely defenceless. My domain, my home ground, was my shield. It gave me a fighting chance—or at least, it gave me a level playing field. My fear transformed into a buzzing curiosity.

"Well, now. This is a game changer," I said, a grin spreading across my face. "Yes, I'll accept. Let her come."

The golden light in the field intensified. It swirled into a vortex, not of destruction, but of serene, comforting energy. The air grew warmer, and a faint scent of cinnamon and honey filled the air. My Drakelings, working diligently in the fields, paused their labour and bowed their heads once more, this time not to me but to the light.

From the swirling golden light, a figure stepped forth.

It wasn't the fiery, majestic bird I had pictured. Instead, it was a girl—a young girl, perhaps no older than twelve or thirteen in human terms. Her hair was a cascade of fiery red, like a sunset, and her eyes, though currently a soft amber, held a glint of ancient power. A dress of pure white, seemingly woven from moonlight, adorned her slender frame. She had no wings, no horns, but the sheer presence she exuded was suffocating—even with her power restricted.

Her gaze swept over the field of golden wheat, a look of pure delight on her face. Her eyes then landed on the throne and me. She tilted her head, a small, curious smile playing on her lips.

"Oh," she said, her voice like wind chimes. "A Dragonoid. I haven't seen one of your kind in a very long time. And to think, you've created such a delicious-looking domain."

Her eyes twinkled, and she began to walk, not toward me, but toward the nearest stalk of golden wheat. She reached out, her fingers glowing faintly, and the head of the stalk detached itself and floated into her palm. She bit into the kernel. Her eyes widened, and a sound of pure bliss escaped her lips.

"Mmmph!" she hummed, her eyes fluttering closed. "So sweet! So delicious! This is a unique taste—not found in any other realm I've visited. It's like sunshine and honey mixed with… with the essence of life itself!"

I watched her devour another kernel, then another, a look of pure, unadulterated joy on her face. Her previous grand, supreme being-like presence had vanished, replaced by the childlike, enthusiastic being the system had described.

"My name is Driatus," she said between bites, not even bothering to look at me. "And you must be the Overlord of this place. That makes you Kamdo, yes?" She finally looked up, her expression a mix of awe and hunger. "Do you… Do you have a lot more of this?"

Her question was so earnest, so focused on the wheat, that I almost laughed. This all-powerful being, this Empress of the Sun, was essentially a gourmet child.

"I do," I said, my voice now much calmer. "This is a 'production-type domain.' It produces this golden wheat and corn perpetually."

Driatus's eyes grew even wider. She zipped over to me in a blink, standing just a few feet from my throne. "Perpetually?! You mean… Can you make this forever?" Her voice was a hushed whisper, as if she were sharing a great secret.

I nodded, a smirk touching my lips. "With the right conditions, yes. And I'm looking to expand."

"Expand?" she repeated, her head tilted like a curious cat. "What do you need?"

I gestured to the surrounding fields, to the Drakelings, and finally to myself. "I need more. More land, more power, more… things. To grow this dominion, I need resources. And I need to understand what this world is and what other domains are out there."

A thoughtful expression crossed Driatus's face, which looked so out of place on her young features. She took a step back, her aura of supreme power returning for a moment, and then she smiled.

"I can help you with that," she said, and the air hummed with her words. "A new domain, a new Overlord, and a new kind of food… yes, this is a fascinating development. I can tell you about this world. About the other domains. About the conflicts, the gods, and the great beings that walk here."

She held out her hand, a gesture of alliance. "In exchange for the golden wheat, of course."

I didn't hesitate. I reached out and clasped her small hand in my large, clawed one. The moment our hands touched, a surge of golden energy, not from me, but from the domain itself, flowed between us.

[Contract made with Supreme Phoenix Driatus. She will act as your guide in exchange for access to the Golden Field's produce.]

"Then we have a deal," I said, and the smile on her face was more powerful than any level 989 stat block.

"Oh, this is going to be so much fun," she said, a hint of ancient mischief in her voice. "First, let's talk about the domains. There are three types, you see. Production, like this one. Then there are the War and Civilisation domains."

She paused, taking another handful of wheat from the field and munching on it happily. "Your domain is a rare one, a golden gem, because most other Overlords have War domains. They are built for combat, for conquest, and they breed creatures of destruction. Think of them as monster-infested dungeons, only the dungeon master is a powerful Overlord."

She then looked at me, a serious expression returning to her face. "And Civilisation domains… they are the most dangerous. They are where societies thrive. Where gods are worshipped, and heroes are born. The people there often form contracts with their world's core. Think of them as giant ant colonies, with each ant having its own power."

Well that did sound terrifying, so my domain is technically weak i turned to the Phoenix who was happily chewing the kernels, and chuckled. "You do realise that is not how to eat wheat, though I would also like to talk about the world more i think I need a quick rest...creating something using Architect is draining."

"Yes Architect is a powerful unique Skill which actually makes you comparable to war-type Domains and it isn't powerful enough to allow you to establish a Civilisation-type domain."
