Chapter 3 - Not so Minor Evolution.

"Hmm, so you think I should stay in the golden fields until my Kyro Value reaches 5?." I asked Dria, who was sitting on my lap while eating some bread.

She nodded at my question and immediately replied. "Yes, it would mean you have fully integrated with your domain, and you will go through a minor evolution. It also allows you to walk freely in the civilisation domain your domain is in."

I have spent about a week in the Golden fields since my rebirth and I have gotten to know about Driatus and the location where I am, Technically speaking my domain spawned right near her nest and she felt a slightly more vital energy here and politely made a request to enter.

I also learned my domain is situated inside an entire Civilisation Domain but since no one below level 100 can enter my Domain, I am not really in immediate danger What I am more worried about is why Driatus is sitting on my lap like this.

Driatus finished her mouthful of bread before answering, her voice still muffled slightly. "Well, you don't seem to mind. And you're comfortable. My human form needs a certain amount of... physical contact to maintain its form. You are an overlord, and your domain is powerful. Your Kyro Value, while low, is a beacon of energy. It's a bit like a warm rock for a lizard."

She looked up at me with those amber eyes, a hint of ancient wisdom mixed with her childlike innocence. "It's also a sign of trust. In my true form, my presence is overwhelming to most. To sit on your lap is a way of showing that I trust you. That I see you as an equal, even if your power is a bit lacking at the moment."

I blinked, processing her words. A warm rock for a lizard. I couldn't help but chuckle at the comparison. "Right. A warm rock. Well, I'm glad I can be of service, my dear Empress of the Sun."

Driatus's cheeks flushed, a deeper red than her fiery hair. She quickly took another bite of bread to hide her embarrassment.

The next few weeks passed in a rhythm of peaceful monotony. I spent my days designing and manifesting more structures for the Drakelings.

I created small, circular homes carved from the hardened soil, a central granary to store the harvested wheat and corn, and a small, flowing stream that I diverted from the domain's ley lines. My Kyro Value slowly ticked upward, rising from 4.5 to 4.7, then to 4.8. It was a slow, deliberate climb.

Currently, I was not in my throne but on my bed with Dria sleeping right beside me with light snores, we have gotten a bit closer in these past weeks and next week is the end of the month...well in my time I guess.

I noticed Driatus usually slept the longest after three days, and today was such a day. She would probably be sleeping for the mentored day, so I wanted to be productive as I let her rest.

I gently got off the bed then outside the house while walking past my throne and then sat on the ground and crossed my legs, I had an idea that would push my Kyro Value to five. You see I have to normal production in my domain but who says I can't create an artificial production, let's say for example, crystallised energy of the Golden Field which after some tests I found was possible.

First I need to create a structure capable of slowly condensing the energy of the ley lines into crystals but to do that I would have to concentrate so much that my mana would drop to 0 which would mean that I would sleep like Dria and I didn't really mind that so I began.

I closed my eyes and reached deep into the Domains' core and began manipulating the ley lines. My mind, now a conduit for the architect's skill, began to weave this energy.

I didn't just manifest a structure; I shaped the very essence of the ley lines into a new purpose. This was a different kind of building—one made not of stone or soil but of pure, concentrated energy.

The process was excruciating. My brain felt like it was being squeezed, and my Mana Power (MP) drained faster than water from a sieve. I felt every ebb and flow of the ley lines, twisting them into intricate, crystalline patterns.

The idea was to create a self-sustaining system, a perpetual motion machine of sorts, that would condense the domain's ambient energy into solid form.

The golden field around me seemed to hum in protest, the swaying wheat slowing to a near standstill. My body trembled with the effort, and a cold sweat broke out on my forehead.

I pushed through the mental exhaustion, focusing on the final design: a large, lotus-shaped structure with petals of shimmering gold and a core that pulsed with a deep, resonating light. Each petal was a separate condenser, and the core was the final accumulator.

Finally, with a final, desperate push, the mental blueprint snapped into place. My MP plummeted to zero, and a wave of complete exhaustion washed over me, a sensation so overwhelming it felt like my soul was being pulled from my body.

I collapsed onto the soft ground, my consciousness fading as a system notification flashed before my eyes.

[Warning: Overlord Kamdo's MP has been depleted. Entering a state of forced hibernation.]

[Unique Creation: Golden Lotus]

[The Golden Lotus is a production-type structure capable of condensing the domain's ambient energy into "Golden Essences."]

[Golden Essence: A concentrated form of the Golden Field's energy. Can be consumed to restore MP, used as a powerful reagent in crafting, or traded as a high-value resource.]

[Architect Skill has levelled up! Architect now requires less MP for creation.]

[Kyro Value has increased to 5.0! Overlord Kamdo has fully integrated with the domain.]

[Minor Evolution Triggered]

That was the last notification I saw before exhaustion caught me.

...

"Mmmph." I slowly stretched on the bed and felt my body feeling more energetic than ever— Wait, who brought me to bed? Was it one of my Drakelings or....

I turned to the side and saw Dria looking at me with a vertical slit in her amber eyes. Oh, that was new her hair was also longer than before, but that was it. Nothing else had changed. Upon seeing me staring at her and not talking, she chuckled and spoke. "You have been asleep for a month, really shouldn't push yourself, Kamdo."

I blinked at her, I could feel her worry, but I just smiled. "A month huh, never thought it would be wasted sleeping, and not only that, you seem to have changed a bit."

She gave me a mischievous smile before poking my chest. "The little lotus thing you made allowed me to get some of my strength back. Anyways enough about me I used Analyse on you and saw your stats and for a newly born overlord, it's quite impressive oh so 'Golden One' and your wings...they look much healthier than before so I may have touched them a bit when you were asleep.'"

So by her words, I got a new title then..... before I could ponder more Driatus's mischievous grin widened, and she playfully poked my chest again. The soft touch sent a shiver through me. Her amber eyes held a new depth, and I could tell her power, though still restricted by the domain, had grown.

"Oh, it's not just a new title," she said, her voice dropping to a low purr. "It's an evolution. You've shed your old skin, so to speak. You are no longer just a reincarnated human. You've fully become a Dragonoid Overlord."

I felt it, then. A subtle shift in my body, a lightness in my bones, and a profound connection to the land beneath me. My vision sharpened, and my senses expanded.

I could feel the individual motes of golden energy in the air, the deep pulse of the ley lines, and the quiet contentment of the Drakelings tending the fields.

My wings, once a mere adornment, felt like a natural extension of my back, their muscles coiled with an immense, dormant power.

A new screen appeared before my eyes, a fresh set of stats to replace the old.

Name: Kamdo

Race: Primal Dragonoid

Class: Overlord of the Golden Field

Age: 2 months

Level: 10

Hp: 5,000/5,000

Mp: 4,500/4,500

Strength: 1,200

Endurance: 1,350

Agility: 1,100

Magical Power: 2,100

Dexterity: 1,500

Luck: 100

Kyro Value: 10.0

Skill points: 10

Unique Skill: Architect, Language Translation, Golden Core.

Skill: Analyse, Primordial Magic, Dragons Anima, Golden Dominion.

Title: Overlord of the Golden Fields, Dragonoid from Another World, The Golden One.

I stared at the screen, my jaw dropping. Level 10? My stats had more than doubled, some even quadrupled. My Kyro Value had jumped from a mere 5.0 to 10.0, and I had a plethora of new skills and a new unique skill.

"Primal Dragonoid?" I whispered, the words tasting foreign on my tongue.

"What does that even mean?"

Driatus hopped off the bed, her bare feet making no sound as she walked to the window I had designed. "It means you've evolved,"

She said, looking out at the shimmering golden lotus at the centre of the field. "The golden energy, the Kyro Value, the unique items you've created—it all merged with your draconic lineage. You are a primal Dragonoid now. You're not just a human in a dragon's body; you're a true heir to the draconic bloodline. It's a sign of your power and a testament to your unique connection to this domain."

I, too, got off the bed and walked to the window, o was behind her. "True now then."

"Analyse: Golden Core," I said using my Analyse skill.

[Golden Core: As the Ruler of the Golden Fields, you shall carry the mark of your realm, and thus, you have become a part of the domain, as the Golden One you now have an energy that is known as Golden Energy which is produced in your Golden Core and ca be used to enhance or create new skills, you can also make a contract with someone outside your domain, turning them into a Demon lord or Heroes or blessing or cursing weapons, as Overlords and gods are the reason those two being exist.]

That sounds op now I should also analyse some of the skills I didn't bother with, too, like Primordial Magic and Dragons Anima I had, and the new skills, Golden Dominion, and also analyse what my title the golden one is, and then ask Dria about Skill points.

So after a while of analysing, I was done.

Primordial Magic is basically me using my imagination to create spells without chanting or just controlling the elements I am attuned with seamlessly, it was quite useful but I have never tried using magic.

Dragons Anima basically allows me to tap into my dragon form known as 'The Golden One' which I named after my title basically allowing me to take on characteristics of an actual dragon though I am a Primal Dragonoid now which I need to ask how that happened and why I actually have a Kyro Value of 10, anyways the Dragon Anima basically allows me to enter battle mode and gives me Golden scales armour.

The Golden One basically is a title given to me due to the nature of my domain and how weaker beings see me basically giving me the protection of an Overworld.

Golden Dominion allows me to copy some productions from the Civilisation domain and add them to mine, turning them into golden productions.

Now then time to interrogate the Phoenix, I patted Dria on her head and she turned around to look at me in confusion. "What is it?"

I smiled and didn't let my hand off her head. "Well you said I went through a minor evolution but nothing seems minor about this and why is my Kyro Value at 10?."

Dria's confused look melted into a knowing smile, and she leaned into my touch, her fiery hair a soft warmth beneath my hand. "Well Kyro Value increases the more beings that know you or the more productions you have there is also a way for Kyro Value to increase, by letting a being higher than you into your domain without them having any negativity for you, if they stay in your domain for some time it will naturally produce a bit of Kyro Value."
