Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: A murder scene?

Huff! Huff! Huff!

We ran for almost half an hour until I saw tight alleyway.

I point my finger at the direction.

"We can hide in there!" I yelled.

I immediately picked up my pace, trying to get there as fast as I could.

The others followed as well.

As I about to enter, I couldn't stop my momentum and slammed against the wall but shoved it off like it was nothing.

Wesley swiftly entered with ease and Tomas was able to control his pace and hid in.

I looked out to see Gideon was about to stop but slipped off the ground and slide off the streets pass the alleyway.

He instantly got up and I pulled him in.

"Sssshhh." I put my finger at my lips as I looked out.

Four men revealed themself out of the streets, one of them spread his arm wide and the whole group dispersed.

I hid back in laid against the wall to blend, taking a deep breath and locking it and tensing up my body.

the others did the same.

The man ran passed us, not paying attention to the alleyway.

Huff!

I let out a deep and long breath out, letting go of my muscle to relax.

My heart rate gradually slows down as I continued to take deep and slow breaths.

I looked at the others, exhausted exactly the same as me.

Tomas looked at me and then at Gideon and to Wesley.

Gideon sunk to the ground, head relaxed at the wall.

Whilst Wesley was leaning against it.

We all looked each other in the eyes.

"Heh...heh...heheheheHAHAHAHA!" Wesley let out a laugh.

"What? Is something on my face?" I giggled.

Tomas cackled and then Gideon did the same.

I couldn't stop myself from laughing as well.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" We all chortled in unision.

"My Lord! How are we even alive!" Wesley shouted.

"I can tase my own blood in my mouth. Gideon said.

"HA! Wesley when did you learn how to give a nasty kick!?" Tomas shouted.

"Nah! The most impressive thing is the fact that Gideon, our little engineer has a strong bite force, like are you even human? Are you a dog or something. That was some really impressive shit!" Wesley said.

"He, thanks." Gideon looked away, scratching his cheek with a red puffy face.

"Aaawww! Is someone shy!" I said.

"Mmmm, No!" Gideon temperature shot up that his head started to release steam.

"Ooooohhhh! Someone's embarrassed." Tomas said.

"Hm." Gideon crossed his arms with a pouted face.

I gave a little punch to his shoulder.

"OOOOWWWW! That hurts!" Gideon yelled.

"Ok, that wasn't even that bad." I said.

"Oh, yeah SURE." He then looked away from me.

Me, Tomas and Wesley laughed it off.

And Gideon looked back before doing the same.

***

"I then threw the dirt to his face, blinding him." I said.

Wesley's arm was behind his back, Tomas with a crossed arm and Gideon being Gideon.

We walked along the cobble streets as left the alleyway a couple of minutes ago.

As I continued talking, my eyes darted at a scene.

A group of people were gathering around but what for?

"What's happening over there." I pointed at the crowd.

"How are we suppose to know?" Wesley said.

I gave him a gaze of DISDAIN to him.

He looked away, whistling.

We arrived at the scene but our views were blocked by the crowd.

What are they even looking at?

I dashed forward and crawled my way into the horde.

Squeezing my chest, folded arms and legs and feeling like my head was about to be crushed before it popped out.

Polices?

They formed a wall to stop us but beyond I could see multiple horse carriages and policemen.

And people in black trench or long coats? Why the hell were they carrying swords on their belts.

I mean isn't this the 1900s? People stopped using that right? Well maybe not but still.

They were gazing upon a building with it's front door was broken in half like something ran through it with the windows being broken.

What is this a crime scene? Looks something straight out of a detective story like Sherlock Holmes and I haven't watched or read the books.

I squeezed my eyes to observe closer to see two men bringing out stretcher with a body covered in red?!

This is definitely a murder scene but isn't that way too much blood.

"Looks awful."

I looked at my side to see Wesley with his head popped out.

"Yeah, truly unfortunate." Gideon said

"By the way who are those people in black coats?" Tomas said.

"How are we suppose to know that?" Me, Gideon and Wesley said in unison.

The stretcher reached the man in the black long coat, he lifted the rag to show the dead bodies head that covered his entire head until covering it again and gave a hand gesture to go.

He looked back to the crowd before turning around and walking off.

We soon got out of the horde of people gathered around.

"What was that anyway, it was murder but that was way too much blood and that man in the black uniform? Super suspicious." Tomas said.

"I recognize that badge on his chest." Gideon said.

"It's a badge for church members." He said.

"A church member." I replied.

"Yeah." He said.

"My uncle has one of those and church members aren't just priest or pastors or prayers or scholars but more or less working under the church to achieve goals."

"Like what?" I said.

"I don't know."

Bruh.

"But it's definitely an important job because he gets paid a lot but he never reveals what he does."

I slowly looked back at the scene where I could see clearly due to the crowd gradually lowering in numbers.

Where I could still see the house. Abandoned.

Something important huh.
