Within a mansion the beeping of an alarm could be heard.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

A short boy with long black hair soon opened his golden amber eyes and smacked the alarm.
*Smack*
"Ugh, I'm up. why does the alarm have to be so loud."
Finally starting to wake up he got of bed. He changed into a black and grey school uniform and headed towards the stairs. While heading towards the kitchen he started to think.
'It's been a bit over 16 years since I arrived in this world, and the god kept his promise of giving me a wealthy and powerful family and I even have the same name of my previous life, Lucious Sullivan. The Sullivan family is a famous family with a lot of power in the Dawn empire, but I can't fully enjoy the title. My family had some powerful enemies causing problems when I was 6, so my parents moved to a city in the outskirts of the empire and hid our name in order to avoid trouble while my grandfather took care of them. We still had a lot of money so establishing ourselves and getting a mansion was easy'
"Morning mom."
"Morning Lucious" said A women. She had white hair and golden eyes. She wore a white business shirt and brown dress pants that accentuated her beauty. Even with that the most striking part of her appearance was her elongated ears, and a pair of small blueish-white horns on her forehead that curved up slightly.
"Where's dad?"
"Oh, he had to go out for a meeting. Beasts have been stirring up trouble in the forest and it's expected that there will be a beast tide. Don't pay it any mind, after all your awakening is today so eat plenty for breakfast"
I nodded and sat down to eat breakfast.
'In this world everyone over the age of 16 will awaken their bloodline and the system in order to fight against beasts and challenge dungeons. The bloodline that you awaken would determine your strength, and potential. When I first found this out, I was disappointed that I wouldn't awaken my race or abilities right away, but the day has finally arrived, and I couldn't be happier about that even if I don't look it right now.'
After finishing up breakfast I said goodbye to my mom and headed to the first high school of Casamont City. When I was about to arrive at the school a voice called for me.
"Hey! Lucious's wait up!" Called A guy. He was also wearing a uniform and had dark brown hair and black eyes. He was handsome, tall, and had a well-defined but slender body.
'This is my best friend, and his name is Blake Runeheart. We met during middle school and have been friends since then. I didn't know when we originally became friends, but he had the template of the protagonist. Parents mysteriously disappeared when he was 6, top student, and his sister joined one of the most powerful guilds before also disappearing. Because of this I tried to make sure we stayed friends.'
"You exited to awaken your bloodline?" Blake asked.
"Yep! I know for a fact I'll awaken A bloodline and A powerful bloodline." I said as I puffed out my chest. "My mom's family is known for space bloodlines, and my dad's for demonic bloodlines."
"Well, that's good for your royal highness." He said teasingly. "We 'mixed bloods' have to rely on luck. But I do have something you don't."
"What is it?"
"Hight."
"!!!"
"I'M ONLY 3 INCHES SHORTER THAN YOU!"
"It's 4 and you know it."
We bickered as we walked and eventually made it to the awakening site. We found our classes position and waited before the ceremony began. While waiting I noticed the awakening stone. It was a giant white stone about 2 meters high with a flat surface on both sides. Apparently upon a successful awakening it would emit light with the intensity determining the potential of the bloodline. Soon students began to be called up for the awakening.

One by one students were called up with most failing to awaken, and those who succeeded having emitted light equivalent to a normal flashlight. Soon enough It was our classes turn. One by one our class was called up until it was my turn.
"Lucious come up." Called the principle, an old man with white hair and scarlet eyes.
I got up from my seat and waked up to the stage. I knew my awakening would be successful, but I couldn't help but feel nervous. I took a deep breath then stepped up to the awakening stone and put my hand on it. I started to feel a warm current enter my body as the stone suddenly burster with light. The light was blinding, appearing to be 10 times stronger than the sun but soon dimed to be as strong as the sun. I didn't know the exact reason, but I instinctively knew it had to do with void energy. Once the light went out, I heard a voice.
*Ding*
[Awakening successful, your race has changed into a {void kitsune}]
I soon checked my body and noticed something. I grew both the ears and tail of a fox. I immediately wanted to check my status but that could wait. I could check my status once I get back to my seat. I first have to deal with the principle and the cheering crowd.
