Chapter 159 - Chapter 1000: Still In Hawaii (10)

The discussion about car repairs came to a temporary end. Strictly speaking, Jack's recently scrapped Hellcat wasn't unrepairable. After all, it wasn't damaged in a crash; the frame itself was intact, with the main damage being to the front engine area.

However, it was still a public bus, and handing it over to the logistics department was almost certain. The final repair bill wouldn't be cheaper than buying a new car and converting it into an undercover police car.

Aside from the Pontiac Firebird, which held special meaning for him, Jack was somewhat fickle when it came to big toys like cars. After receiving a brand-new Audi R8, he had forgotten about the poor Hellcat.

Soon, the small convoy of three vehicles pulled into a dilapidated warehouse area. Whether it was shipping containers or tin houses, the corrosion from the salt spray on the seashore would soon take on this dilapidated appearance.

That's why Hainan's real estate projects are always full of bubbles, because beachfront vacation villas are always just vacation villas, not suitable for permanent residence. Even if one is wealthy enough to afford the maintenance costs, they can't withstand arthritis. (Purely author's nonsense)

Standing out from the surroundings were the several white security cameras at the four corners of the warehouse, clearly newly installed.

"When will HPD reinforcements arrive? They've probably spotted us," Hannah asked in a low voice as he exited the car.

Danny cocked the bolt and gestured forward, his expression full of arrogance. "Then let's not wait for them. Let's just charge in."

"Look out!" Jack's ears twitched, already hearing the roar of a car engine from inside the warehouse. Almost as soon as he shouted a warning, a Mercedes-Benz G-Class burst through the warehouse's thin metal wall and hurtled towards them.

"Cover! Cover!" The two NCIS agents in front pointed their AR-15s at the Mercedes-Benz, but didn't fire. Their gunfire overlapped, and the car slipped between them.

Jack pushed Danny aside and turned to run, now facing the front of the Mercedes-Benz.

Hearing the engine roar approaching behind him, Jack sprinted, reaching the front of the Saab, and with a single hand, he flipped over the hood.

The pursuing Mercedes-Benz braked suddenly, shifting sideways, its rear end slamming into the center of the Suburban, leaving a nasty dent.

"It's Comescu! He's in the car!" Karen roared, chasing after him. Jack emerged from behind the front of the Suburban, his gun cocked but not firing.

Two NCIS agents and the Five-O team were positioned between him and the Mercedes-Benz.

With a fleeting opportunity, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class roared, slamming past several piled wooden planks and escaping the encirclement. By the time Jack had circled around to the other side of the Suburban, the others had only managed to inflict a few minor sparks on the G-Class's rear end.

"Follow him!" Danny, shoved back by Jack, rushed towards his Camaro, followed by the large, dark-skinned Hannah.

Jack opened the driver's door of the Suburban, and after getting in, he opened the passenger door for Cheng Hao who was lagging behind, "Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

However, when he stepped on the accelerator, the Camaro driven by Danny had already rushed out first.

"We caught up!" Danny's roar came from the headset.

"OK, then we will go around from outside the warehouse area." Looking at the billowing dust in front of him, Jack gave up the idea of following behind and collecting dust.

"No problem! Kono, Karen, follow up! Outflank and intercept them!" Danny's voice was full of excitement.

"There are only two wooden bridges leading to the main island here, and one of them is at the other end of the warehouse." Cheng Hao, who was familiar with the terrain, showed Jack the direction.

At the same time, a conversation between Hannah and Danny came over the comms.

  "Overtake! That's a nice car!"

"I'd like to, but don't you think there's too much stuff here?" It was clear that Danny was driving very hard.

"Steady!" Hannah had barely finished his words when everyone heard the sound of a gunshot, followed by a quiet curse, apparently a miss.

"I'm driving steady, but you shoot like Ray Charles," Danny quipped.

Ray Charles was one of the first inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, pioneering rhythm and blues music and composing the first truly African-American song. Danny's use of him as an analogy had nothing to do with the music, but rather that the musician was blind.

  "Watch out for the dumpster!"

  "I see, thank you!"

"You should work on your driving. Your wrist position is wrong!"

"My wrist position is wrong? Why do you SEALs all have the same problem? You love to point fingers at the person behind the wheel."

From this exchange, it was clear that Danny and his partner, Steve McGarrett, often engaged in this kind of bickering.

Jack and Cheng Hao, who had already circled the warehouse area, exchanged a silent glance. From their slightly higher vantage point, they could clearly see the plumes of dust rising from the factory.

A Mercedes-Benz and a Camaro were circling the area, one behind the other, their bodies occasionally glimpsed through the gaps between the containers.

Kono, driving a red Malibu, was still trying to get around the other side, trying to get in front of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

There was a long screeching of brakes, followed by Danny's frustrated wail. "Jack, I'm blocked. Can you see them?"

"Uh, wait a minute, Kono. They're at your 10 o'clock position. You'll see them soon. There's a construction site up ahead. We'll block them from the other side."

Compared to the chaos below, Jack's side remained calmer, considering it a minor incident.

A few minutes later, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class emerged from the warehouse area, only to be blocked by Kono. For a moment, the two vehicles were almost parallel, but the Malibu, lacking a bumper, was clearly unsuitable for the pits, and its weight wasn't suitable for a fight. All Danny could do was stick close to the other car, forcing it to change direction.

"We're back! We've caught him! Great! Oh no! Shit!" Danny's voice rose an octave as the Camaro, which had previously swerved from the other side of the warehouse area, drifted across the road . Seeing the Mercedes-Benz charging towards him without even slowing down, his voice rose an octave.

"Boom!" Jack's Suburban leaped high from behind a small mound of dirt, the full-size SUV's massive body slamming head-on into the Mercedes-Benz G-Class's right front wheel with unmatched momentum.

To the left was a dirt slope with a large bulldozer parked on it, and below it lay a gravel-strewn beach. The Mercedes-Benz, deflected by Jack's veer, scraped against the bulldozer, sending sparks flying before taking off, performing a stunning 180-degree mid-air spin and flying down the dirt slope.
