Chapter 35 - Chapter 875: Crime City (10)

"In other words, because your team leader disappeared while investigating Zhou Xingzhe, and his sidearm fell into the hands of the Yakuza, you are suspicious."

Jack hadn't finished speaking when the two detectives from the Northern Police Station burst into tears.

Ma Xidao patted them on the back with his big hand to comfort them. "Because this is a private investigation, it involves colleagues from other police stations, and they are now leaderless, so they want to follow me for the time being."

Jack thought for a moment, raised his head and smiled at Ma Xidao. "Since this case was previously under the jurisdiction of Captain Zhou Xingzhe, and one of you was injured on his territory, it is reasonable for you to come to him and want to review the relevant investigation materials?"

Ma Xidao had an expression of sympathy, and his mouth curled up subconsciously. Under his fleshy smile, there was a bit of ferocity. "Yes, just consider it a little curiosity."

-

Geumcheon is a district in Seoul. There are many highways and important railways passing through it. It is considered the transportation hub of southwest Seoul.

Ma Xidao and his colleagues from the search team were halfway back to Seoul from Incheon when the incident occurred, just as they entered Geumcheon territory.

Jack, Ma Xidao, and two detectives from the Northern Police Department were in the Geumcheon police station parking lot. None of them left their cars, but instead chatted among themselves.

"Here's Zhou Xingzhe's information. It's all in there." Huang Dongjun, from the Northern Police Department's Narcotics Division, handed a file to Jack and looked at Ma Xidao with a hesitant expression .

"Brother Xidao, isn't it a bit inappropriate to barge into someone else's jurisdiction and demand access to their case files?"

"Don't worry, I never say anything unkind," Ma Xidao replied nonchalantly.

As his former subordinate, Huang Dongjun knew this man's temper well. He snorted with a forced smile, expressing his disbelief.

By this time, Jack had finished reading the thin information and returned it to Huang Dongjun, "The speed of Captain Zhou Xingzhe's promotion is a bit unusual. It doesn't conform to the promotion method of your Korean police that relies on seniority."

The latter nodded, his face solemn, "It is said that the credit for solving the White Shark Gang was attributed to him alone, so he was promoted twice."

"Does he have someone above?" Jack smiled and looked at Ma Xidao, "If you can get an exception promotion based on merit, your brother Xidao would at least be a deputy minister or something like that."

He and Ma Xidao have been getting along quite well these days. This god, Ma Dongxi, has a boldness and magnanimity in his character that is rare among Koreans, and he has also heard a lot of his self-boasting glorious deeds.

Huang Dongjun's expression was a bit odd. "That's hard to say. Brother Xidao's destructive power is quite astonishing. When we first worked together, the higher-ups were often troubled by the extra civil compensation."

Ma Xidao couldn't help but fumed. "Ashiba, what are you talking about? Those are just rumors. The damage was clearly caused by vicious criminals. I've been very vigilant, okay?"

Everyone laughed and then returned to the main topic. Huang Dongjun straightened his face and continued his introduction.

"By the way, I asked around, and Captain Zhou Xingzhe doesn't seem to have any special connections. But everyone in the department thinks he's very well-regarded. It's said he's always generous."

"Well, he does look like a wealthy man. He's wearing the same brand suit as me." Jack pointed out the window.

Everyone looked in the direction of his finger. Three people emerged from the other end of the parking lot, one in front and two behind, heading towards the police station gate. The one

walking in front was Zhou Xingzhe. He was tall and slender, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes. He had a handsome appearance and the demeanor of a big brother. He walked with a swagger and a swagger.

If there are two extremes in the appearance of underworld bosses, then Ma Xidao and Zhou Xingzhe are the South Pole and the North Pole.

One instills fear in the underworld boss simply through his looks, while the other relies on his aura to instill fear in people while also charming a bunch of clueless girls.

"Young and Dangerous?" Jack thought to himself. At first glance, this guy looked like a low-profile middle-aged Ekin Cheng, especially his hairstyle, which was a 30/70 split between the two.

"My identity doesn't allow me to go in. Please hold your brother Xidao with you. Our purpose is just to test the waters, not to destroy the police station."

Jack said this to Huang Dongjun. If it weren't for Ma Xidao's strong request, he wouldn't even want this guy to go in with him, worried that he would impulsively mess things up. The most important thing for them now was to keep a low profile.

He'd already received numerous calls from last night. There were calls from Prosecutor Kim Jun-ho and the National Police Agency in South Korea, as well as calls from the US Embassy and the FBI's New York office.

Even Jubal, who had recently landed in New York, called to inquire about the shooting.

Fortunately, Jack's initial motive for firing was simply to save someone. While there wasn't any surveillance footage at the scene, the death of the Yakuza fighter, whose brains were splattered, spoke volumes.

Besides, even though this was a film and television world, the South Koreans weren't so brazen as to summon the US ambassador and kneel before the Tai Chi flag.

They simply inquired respectfully about whether Jack, the FBI agent, was injured, hinting at a desire for him to keep a low profile.

"Okay," Hwang Dong-gyun said before Ma Seok-do impatiently dragged him out of the car, muttering, "I've always been known for my intelligence and courage."

A quarter of an hour later, Ma Seok-do, cursing, was dragged from the Geumcheon Police Station by Hwang Dong-gyun.

"What's the situation?" Jack opened the car door for them.

Ma Xidao didn't get in the car. He took out a business card from his pocket and turned to go back. "Oh no, I gave the wrong business card."

Huang Dongjun shuddered and turned around quickly, hugging his arm again, almost hanging on his arm. "Brother, don't go. They won't call you anyway."

"Ashiba, no, I gave you the business card of that restaurant that sells eel rice. I have to order eel rice for everyone later." Ma Xidao looked annoyed.

"Leave it to me, leave it to me. As long as you can find our team leader, I will treat everyone to eel rice for a week." Huang Dongjun was so anxious that he broke out in a cold sweat.

"Ashiba, forget it." Ma Xidao shook his hand and gently pushed Huang Dongjun into the car. The latter was still confused when he landed on the seat, and he didn't react at all how he got in the car.

Jack watched Ma Xidao take the passenger seat and asked with a smile, "How's it going?"

"Just as we thought, they rejected it." Ma Xidao was still sulking, and Huang Dongjun, who was sitting in the back, leaned forward and replied.

"They flatly rejected it on the grounds of jurisdiction, saying it was still under investigation. They don't even have a single photo of the Yakuza. It's been a case for several years, and they say they haven't taken a single photo. Who would believe that?"

As he spoke, his eyes reddened. "Brother Xidao asked them if they knew about our team leader Zheng Gengxi, and they turned around and implied that there was something wrong with our team leader."

Jack nodded thoughtfully. "You didn't reveal your identity, did you?"

Huang Dongjun shook his head quickly. "Of course not. Everything was just as you instructed. When I introduced myself, I said I was a police officer from the Guangsuo Team."

"So, the umbrella behind the Yakuza gang is most likely Zhou Xingzhe and his gang of police officers,"

Jack analyzed. "They killed the White Shark Gang, which had previously cooperated with the "One Line Group", and in turn became its partners. That's why the Yakuza gang can transport drugs while also trafficking locally.

If other local gangs dare to cause trouble, Zhou Xingzhe, as a police officer, will naturally be the one to clean it up. Have you found anything else?"

Huang Dongjun shook his head again. Ma Xidao, who had been lowering his head and saying nothing, suddenly looked up, his eyes full of anger. "I suspect they are the ones who attacked my brother.

One of Zhou Xingzhe's men has a minor arm injury. I noticed it when I shook his hand. He also has a scratch on his forehead. He explained that it was from a punch he received when he resisted during the arrest of the drug dealer.

But the wound is not bruised, but looks like a scratch caused by broken glass or something."
