Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Rebirth of the Frozen Hell

Null faces the Devourer once again, face to face. The frozen mist trembles, as if the very air feared to witness what was about to unfold.

The Devourer hurls a devastating strike with its right hand straight toward Null's head, but he reacts at the last instant, propelling himself downward with a burst of wind. His foot slams against the monster's colossal arm, deflecting the blow with an explosion of force that shakes the ground.

With a fiery boost, Null launches himself like a blazing comet toward the Devourer, his sword glowing with a golden radiance. He throws a kick directly at the beast's right eye, but—

The Devourer vanishes from his sight.

A titanic shadow rises behind him.

The impact roars like the explosion of worlds. The ground splits apart, mountains crumble, and reality itself shudders as the Devourer's hand slams Null into the ground, carving a rift so deep it cracks through space and time.

Yet, the monster feels something move beneath its palm. Its fingers tremble.

Null is there, resisting, his arms burning, his forehead veined with effort and pure fire.

Null: "I WILL NOT FALL HERE!"

With a roar, he thrusts his sword into the Devourer's palm. Divine fire surges from the wound, spiraling through the colossus's body, burning its frozen flesh from within.

The Devourer bellows in fury, its voice shattering the ice of the horizon, and with a single flick of its finger, it strikes Null, sending him hurtling through the frozen mist.

Hidden within the fog, Azrael and Nevaeh hear the impact.

Azrael: "That scream,it's Null!" —He leaps into the air, catching him before he crashes into the icy ground— "You're wrecked… that thing really pushed you to your limits."

Nevaeh: "Are you alright, Null?"

Null: (panting) "Yeah… but that thing's powerful. Still… if I can burn its insides with enough fire… we might weaken it." (sighs) "I only managed to scorch part of its arm… I didn't reach its organs."

Azrael: "I see." —He tightens his grip on the shadow blade— "Count me in. This time… I won't lose."

Null: (nodding) "Good. Nevaeh, you're the key here. When we weaken it, unleash your most devastating strike. We'll need every bit of advantage we can get."

Nevaeh: "Understood." (nods firmly)

Azrael: (grinning) "Seems like you actually know how to plan. Let's go!"

Nevaeh begins to channel energy through her body and divine axe, while Null and Azrael charge back into battle.

Azrael slashes, tearing through the flow of time itself, but before the Devourer can grab him, Null intercepts its motion with an infernal explosion to the creature's face. Azrael's temporal slash connects, leaving only a shallow wound on its chest, but enough to enrage it.

The monster charges at Azrael with unholy fury.

Azrael: "Damn it! I need more power!"

He sprints into the mist, trying to vanish, but the Devourer is faster. It evades the temporal cuts and, with impossible precision, catches four of them, and throws them back.

Azrael: "Not again!"

He dodges three, but the fourth is about to take his head when Null appears, stopping the slash with his sword, the impact cracking the air like thunder.

Null: "Uff… made it just in time." (panting)

Azrael: "I had it under control." (sighs)

They charge together. Null unleashes waves of divine light slashes, while Azrael sends dark cuts that distort time from multiple directions, disorienting the Devourer.

Null: "That should deal some damage at least."

But the Devourer leaps.

A jump beyond comprehension.Miles upon miles in an instant. The slashes collide midair, forming a black hole that swallows light itself.

Null: "Damn it!"

Azrael: "Stupid kangaroo!"

They sprint at full speed to escape its pull. Nevaeh, witnessing the chaos, focuses her energy even more, her body glowing like a newborn sun as she runs opposite to the gravitational pull.

The black hole implodes, releasing a gravitational wave that bends reality. Amid the distortion, the Devourer reappears in the frozen sky. It opens its maw, unleashing a storm of icy spikes raining from all directions.

The spikes obliterate everything in their path. Null and Azrael dodge and deflect what they can, while Nevaeh raises her axe, summoning a radiant sun that melts the shards before they reach her.

Null: "That thing… it knows that if it keeps this up, we'll have no terrain left to use."

Azrael: "Yeah, I can see that," —he sighs wearily.—

The Devourer halts its assault. The land is now flat, desolate, covered only by endless fields of ice spikes. Then, it descends with a roar that splits the very air, its voice bending space-time itself.

Null: "We fight, even if we die from exhaustion!"

Azrael: "That was my plan!"

They both roar and charge together. The frozen hell trembles as fire, darkness, and despair clash in a storm of raw power.

The Devourer strikes, shattering the frozen air, but Azrael strengthens his barrier now infused with gravitational energy and manages to block the colossal blow. Null seizes the chance, leaping onto its shoulderand driving his sword into the creature's eye.

Null: "BURN!"

A divine inferno erupts from within the Devourer, consuming its body with flames so hot that even the ice turns to vapor. The creature screams, its eyes glowing crimson with rage, and with uncontainable fury, it lands a brutal strike that disintegrates Null's body, leaving only his feet upon the ice.

Then, with a single monumental kick, it smashes through Azrael's barrier and sends him flying across frozen mountains and shattered lakes, breaking everything in his path.
