Early the next morning, Anning gets awakened by the sound of drizzling rain outside. Everyone in her family was still asleep because of the early cosiness of the rain.
She just lies under the blankets , hearing the comfortable pitter - pattering. While someone thinks the sound of rain irritating, she thinks it as the most comfortable lullaby ever.
Soon, she fell asleep again. This time, she started dreaming.
In the dream, she was walking with someone on a road barren of people, except for some buildings standing ahead. It was night time. She didn't know what was behind her, since she was not in control of herself, but of the dream 'her'.
She couldn't see the face of her companion but was hearing her continuous babbling.
She has a feeling that, that person is Baizhi, although she couldn't understand a single word she was saying, most likely rambling, as it is a dream.
She was just walking with her, most likely towards the building which was literally looking like one of the haunted buildings in horror movies ; and was feeling like she is in a bad mood, reasons unknown.
But Baizhi was maybe trying... to coax her, as she took a step ahead and turned towards her, back walking.
She was smiling and talking, until suddenly she stopped.
Anning of the dream almost bumped into her face - to - face then she lifted her eyes to look at Baizhi, only to find that she was staring right past her, with widened horror struck gaze.
Anning was shocked seeing her like this suddenly, then noticed something in Baizhi's widened pupil.
It was a weird thing or person, almost like a monster. But before she could see further, she was jolted awake by the sound of her alarm.
She sat on the bed slightly panting, and offs the alarm, still wide eyed from the shock.
She again tries to remember that dream , but only bits and pieces were clear now, thanks to the timely alarm.
What was that ! Fuc*ing realistically wierd ! I should stop watching horror videos anymore.
Thinking this , she ran her fingers through her hair, waking completely.
Her family had already woken up and her mother and grandma were making the breakfast.
After getting up, as usual, Anning took the broom from underneath the bed and started doing her work.
After finishing, she goes to the kitchen to see that , the breakfast is already ready.
She then goes into her bathroom to freshen up. After that, she packed her bag for the college and then goes to the dining table to have breakfast with her family.
Her brother was taking his day off of school today.
As usual, the siblings starts bickering only stopping when their dad joined the table.
Since there was still some time left, Anning after finishing her breakfast, goes to her room and revisited the assignments that were to be submitted today.
As the clock struck 8:45 AM , Anning packs her bag and goes to her college after biding everyone goodbye.
She was walking by foot.
At the intersection where she and Baizhi had parted the previous day, she stopped and looked towards the opposite side.
The nightmare she had was still somewhat clear in her head.
Almost surprisingly, she spotted Baizhi on the other side and waved at her.
Baizhi also smiles and waves at her , quickly coming towards Anning with her bicycle.
Yeah ! Bicycle. Baizhi had pink bicycle which Anning finds too girly, but it was her younger sister --- Somi's choice. She sometimes comes to the college on her bicycle, like now.
Baizhi greeted Anning with a beaming face, " Good morning. " Anning somehow feeling refreshed greets her back.
Then they both started walking together for their common destination, inspite of the different routes they came from.
In front of the college gate, a specific headache greets them. Baizhi smiled at her and said, " Hello Sizi. Long time no see. "
Sizi almost rolling her eyes while eying Anning, replies, " Oh, you can see me often, if you don't search for a specific someone. "
Baizhi laughs and slaps her shoulder, thinking that as a joke. Sizi also laughs with her, and they soon started chit - chatting, in which Anning gives supplies from time to time.
Anning don't particularly dislike Sizi, even have a bit nice relations with her.
But she feels that Sizi is quite hostile towards Baizhi, despite keeping outer appearances.
Reaching the campus, Sizi was going to meet with her friends as usual, but then she suddenly turns and says to Baizhi, " Ah, I almost forgot. Baizhi, you had something to ask from professor Lu, hadn't you?"
Baizhi replied, " Uh..... Yeah. "
Sizi, approaching them, said," She told me to tell you that she is free today, before assembly. So, if you still had to ask, then you can find her. "
Baizhi looked at her once , then said," Oh ! Then I will better see her now. See you Anning. "
And then she goes towards the staff room after waving her friends off.
