Face is a mask, just like a bluff,
It hides the pain, with a simple smile.
They saw her face full of joy,
But what I saw was fear in her eyes.
Sometimes I think it's only her fault,
But after a sec, I don't think anything is wrong.
Cultural differences are like heaven and hell,
She likes to explore, but I fear about the truth.
Her heart seeks the unknown, eager to be free,
While I hold back, questioning what I might see.
Neither can I change the people nor the choice of her life,
Only I can do is pray.
Does people change? Does society change?
I hope the answer will be yes.
It's sad, but reality—
We all like to flex,
Flex about the money, flex about the power.
I hope there comes a day we flex about our behavior.
When people say life is hard, life is difficult,
Suddenly, I remember her silent smile.
