Denise stepped forward next, her voice carrying warmth and emotion as she addressed the gathered guests. "I've watched Larissa for years, and never once have I witnessed her gaze at someone the way she does at Carson. She stares at him like she can hardly believe he's real, and honestly, who could blame her? I mean, look at the man."
Gentle laughter swept through the crowd. Carson's fingers tightened around mine, the corner of his mouth lifting in quiet amusement.
"But what truly makes their story remarkable," Denise went on, her tone growing tender, "is how perfectly they complement each other. Carson may command boardrooms and run empires, but with Larissa, he becomes simply a man who's found his match.
